Monster Winter Storm Freezes the East Coast...

Jesus - "Do not be afeared, My child; retain your crucifix on your doors.  And keep your supply of earthly goods, though they are needed for your human body; the canned food, the candles, the water, and the blankets.  A sudden cold shall come upon mankind and many shall die from the cold." (10-5-85)

The Wall Street Journal reported on December 27, 2010:

Heavy snow, high winds and low visibility left parts of the Northeast at a near standstill Monday, with thousands of flights canceled, rail service suspended or delayed and some major roads impassable.

Airlines scrambled to rebook thousands of passengers—more than 1,400 flights out of the New York City area's three major airports were canceled—but said they didn't expect normal service to resume until Tuesday.

John F. Kennedy International Airport, the top U.S. departure point for nonstop international flights, and LaGuardia remained closed Monday, as did New Jersey's Newark Liberty International Airport. Boston's Logan International Airport was open, but few flights were arriving or departing.

Amtrak canceled train service from New York to Maine after doing the same earlier for several trains in Virginia. Spokesman Cliff Cole said limited service from Boston to New York's Penn Station resumed Monday morning. Amtrak's Downeaster service between Boston and Maine also has resumed. The nation's largest commuter rail system, New York's Long Island Rail Road, also suspended service. Bus companies canceled routes up and down the East Coast, and drivers faced hazardous travel conditions—sometimes with close to zero visibility.

Cramped and cold, passengers were told help was on the way, but the rescue train got stuck. "No bathroom, no food, no water, no heat for most of the time so it was very cold middle of the night middle of nowhere. We had no idea when we were going to get going," said Erin Durkin, a New York Daily News reporter who was among the hundreds stuck on the Manhattan-bound train.

In Monmouth County, N.J., snow drifts of up to five feet contributed to stalling a passenger bus on the Garden State Parkway, where plows were having a difficult time clearing because there were so many stranded cars cluttering the ramps.

In greater Boston, highways into the city were nearly abandoned early Monday, as many workers were given the day off and others were on vacation for the holiday week.

The National Weather Service predicted 12 to 20 inches of snow would fall on southern New England before the storm weakens later Monday. Unusually, thunder accompanied the driving snow in New York City and other areas.

Wind gusts as strong as 80 miles an hour knocked out power to thousands. Utilities reported about 90,000 customers were without service in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The Weather Service issued blizzard warnings for Boston, Rhode Island, parts of Virginia, the New York City metro area and Maryland's eastern shore —where 16 inches of snow was forecast.

Officials declared states of emergency in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and New Jersey—along with the cities of Boston and Philadelphia.

The monster storm is the result of a low pressure system off the North Carolina coast and strengthened as it moved northeast, the National Weather Service said. The blizzard arrived on what is usually the third or fourth busiest day of the year for retailers, when shoppers are returning presents, taking advantage of sales and cashing in gift cards.

The storm that struck the Saturday before Christmas last year cost retailers an estimated $2 billion in sales, according to Planalytics, which advises companies on the effects of weather. Stores got lucky this year, because the storm came after Christmas and didn't hit the East Coast until midmorning, giving shoppers some time in stores, said Scott Bernhardt, the company's chief operating officer. Many retailers also hoped to make up sales later in the week.

One retail category that was hot Sunday: equipment to dig out from the snow. The Home Depot in Watchung, N.J., sold every snow blower and shovel it had in stock after customers lined up out the door.

Airlines offered passengers, without cost, the opportunity to postpone their travel plans by several days. But if past storms are any indication, customers won't be able to reach their destinations as soon as they would like.

The Air Transport Association, the U.S. carriers' main trade group, said Sunday and Monday were among the least-traveled days of the 21-day holiday travel period that began Dec. 16 and ends Jan. 5. The ATA said 44.3 million people were scheduled to fly in that period, up 3% over 2009. But the busiest travel days were leading up to Christmas and after the New Year's holiday, the ATA said.

That was of little solace to stranded would-be fliers.

Alicia Jordan of Houston was home for the holidays in Brooklyn, N.Y., and needed to be back Monday for her first day of work as an ocean engineer. Her flight wasn't until 6:25 p.m. but she came to New York's LaGuardia airport at 9 a.m. Sunday, hoping to get out before the storm set in. By Sunday afternoon, she had been waiting in the American Airlines ticketing line for more than four hours. "I'm losing my mind," she said. "Tomorrow is the first day of my job, and I am stuck here."

The National Football League postponed until Tuesday the planned Sunday night game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings in Philadelphia, which braced for as much as 12 inches of snow.

By noon on Sunday, about 60% of the flights at Philadelphia International Airport had been canceled. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said its trucks were pouring a de-icing mixture on major highways and that more than 400 trucks would be salting and plowing.

US Airways Group Inc., which has a hub in Philadelphia, said it cut 679 flights Sunday and planned to "precancel" 100 flights Monday.

Other carriers also cut back flights. Delta Air Lines Inc., the nation's second-largest airline by traffic, canceled 850 flights Sunday of a total of 5,000, mostly affecting East Coast airports, a spokesman said. The unusual snow in the South prompted Atlanta-based Delta to cut 500 flights from its schedule on Christmas Day.

AMR Corp.'s American said it cut 261 flights from its schedule on Sunday. A spokeswoman said Sunday afternoon that the company, the No. 3 U.S. airline by traffic, was monitoring the situation to see if further reductions were in order.

United Continental Holdings Inc., parent of United Airlines and Continental Airlines, said United canceled 100 flights as of Sunday morning. Continental scrubbed 265 flights. The combination of United and Continental is the world's largest carrier.

The storm disrupted rail service in and out of New York City. Besides the Amtrak cancellations, the region's commuter railroads—three of the nation's four busiest—also planned to reduce service Monday.

In New York, state highway officials urged motorists to avoid unnecessary travel. Crashes stopped traffic on some key highways around the region. Officials barred almost all vehicles except passenger cars from the Tappan Zee Bridge, which crosses the Hudson River north of New York City.

WARNINGS GONE BY UNNOTICED

FATHER PLANS A GRADUAL CLEANSING OF EARTH

Homes that have crucifixes on all the outside doors have been saved from fire, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, storms, riots, etc.

The Blood of the Lamb...
    "For the Lord will pass through striking the Egyptians: and when he shall see the blood on the transom, and on both the posts, he will pass over the door of the house, and not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses and to hurt you." (Exodus 12:23)

Crucifix on front and back door...
   Jesus - "Pray and wear your sacramentals.   And, also, My children, I ask you again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas, and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors." (6-30-84)

    Jesus - "All who place the crucifix upon their front doors shall be saved like the passing of the lamb." (6-18-84)

Angel of Death will pass by...
   Jesus - "Yes, My child, in the great Chastisement a ball of fire shall fall into the waters killing all that is living in the seas.  And, also, unfortunately, because they could not listen and change their ways, many will die also from the flames and also from the waters.  Those living along the coastlines, We caution them to keep a sacramental and a crucifix upon their doors, for the angel of death shall not enter your home." (7-1-85)

Crucifix has Great Power...
   Jesus - "We demand a crucifix, because demons - many of the highest ones in the realms of hell cannot stand the sight of a crucifix.   They will not approach your door.  I give you this knowledge, My children, though it is not common knowledge, My children, though it is not common knowledge upon earth, that the crucifix has great power against satan." Homes saved form Hurricane Gloria...
    Jesus - "My child, We specifically brought you here this evening after the last trial of the past week.  This was allowed to come upon you with no destruction to your home.  However, you knew the fear of fleeing to the mountains.  We directed you, My child, and you did well.  And you escaped having to suffer the hours of darkness, and the sound of the howling of the winds, and the rise of the waters.  But, My child and My children, it will happen again, but this time it will claim lives.
    "Do not be affrighted, My child; I did not say that this will happen to your home on Long Island again.  You suffered not the moments of terror.   We did not wish for you to succumb from sorrow at that time, My child, so We sent you to the mountains; and you returned once the winds had died down to find a home still intact.
    "I must reveal, My children, to the world again, that you are to keep a crucifix on your front door and your back door. All entrances to your home must be guarded by the crucifix.  There has not been one home on Long Island that had a crucifix on its door that did fall to any evil.  I do not speak of the trees, My child; I speak of mankind.  You did not know a major disaster as has happened, My children, in Mexico.  You see, My child, I set you down in that area to bring the word to mankind, and it was through these words that many listened and the passed through the horrible experience of a hurricane." Testimonies
    Many people have had their homes protected from disaster by having a crucifix on the outside of their outside doors.

Dear Bayside Shrine Workers,
    A tornado passed through our town of Westlake, Louisiana early in the morning of January 13, 1995.  No damage came to our house, but two trees fell down in my mother’s front yard.  The electric light utility pole on my mother’s house broke during the storm, and a neighbor said he saw a big flash of fire spread right across the utility pole on to the top of my mother’s roof, but no damage came.   The fire vanished almost immediately. My trailer was rocking with the wind, so was my grandmother’s trailer house, too, but no damage to either one of them.  An electric fire also flashed over my grandmother’s trailer on the roof, but no damage.
    My mother, my grandmother, and my sister--we all have blessed wooden crucifixes on the outside doors of our houses.  We also have the blessed Rose Petals, the holy statues of Our Lady, and the Green Scapulars in our homes.  We all give thanks to Our Lady of the Roses for sparing us any damages on our homes.  Also, our Bayside group gets out the Bayside directives and the messages of Bayside in our area.   We believe this work has spared our area from much disaster in the past of floods, tornadoes and storms.

Crucifixes on door saves H & H Store...
    On June 30, 1984, Jesus said: "And also, My children, I ask you again to place a crucifix upon your door.  Both front and back doors must have a crucifix.  I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas, and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors."
    Let us now see the factual proof of Heaven’s protection, to those who follow Our Lady’s counsel.  At a "Stop ‘n’ Go" shop at the corner of Jackson St. and Orange Ave. in Paramount, looters broke the windows and cleaned the store of $20,000 to $40,000 in merchandise, including freezers.  One clerk there exclaimed, "Everything was taken!" Two weeks later it was just starting to reopen again to customers.
    Three blocks away, at the corner of Garfield Ave. and Alondra Blvd., was a different story. "H & H Store," also in Paramount, suffered six broken windows, not including the broken glass front door.  Yet with this difference: Nothing was taken.  Owner Juliette Cota gratefully affirmed, "Nothing taken!   Not even a bar of soap!"  A great mystery, considering several of the broken windows were large enough for the looters to easily pass through.  So what was the difference?  The owner had been warned by a local Bayside believer to put up a crucifix on the front door, and she did.  A believer herself, she is now also telling others why her shop was spared.  Her son, fearful of future riots, is desirous to sell the shop and move.  Juliette, the mother and owner, confidently told us, "I am not afraid."

Dear Veronica,
    I sent you a picture that I feel is a miracle of Our Lady of the Roses.   We have the picture, a beautiful statue of Our Lady of the Roses.  On the outside, outdoors it is.  As you know, we in Oakland, California, had a terrible disaster fire that destroyed 3,500 homes.  I am enclosing this special statue picture. It was not touched by the fire, which destroyed all the homes in the block.   I feel this is a precious moment and a photo of the power of the Virgin Mary of the Roses.  Now for our own home, three homes were destroyed by fire, all around ours.   Here is the whole thing.  In your literature sent me, it was mentioned to place a crucifix on your doors, which I did.  The fire destroyed our roof and some trees but our home was spared from destruction.  I truly believe the Blessed Mother protected our home because all homes around us, in back of ours were completely destroyed.   I thought this was noteworthy, and please thank the Blessed Mother of the Roses in one of your visitations.  I pass out all rosaries and scapulars I get and I am dedicated to serve the Blessed Mother and Jesus as long as I live.  From Oakland, California

    A gentleman from New Orleans reported his home was spared, when all his neighbors lost the roofs of their houses in a hurricane.  He had one shingle missing and he thought that was gone before the storm.

    In the San Francisco earthquake, a lady was living on the second floor of an apartment building with crucifixes on the doors.  After the earthquake, her apartment was on the first floor.  The apartment below her lost everything.   She didn’t even have one dish break.  The great power of the crucifix!   Can you afford not to have crucifixes on your doors?

To Our Lady of the Roses:
    We live in Western Massachusetts where Hurricane "Bob" came through.  We had crosses on our outside doors.  No damage was done to our home or property.
    On both sides of us people had trees down.  Trees were broken in half etc.  One tree fell in the middle of the street and shook our house but that was all.  Trees and lines were down in the whole neighborhood.  We had no electricity for eight hours.
    During that time, it brought home to us the messages Our Lady talks about where there would be no utilities.  Tell everyone they need their crosses on the outside of all their outside doors.
