Floods, Great Heat and a Great Plague . . .

The remnants of Tropical Storm Allison left nine people dead in Florida and prompted a state of emergency in 14 Georgia counties Wednesday.

The storm has caused major damage around several Georgia cities, including Augusta, Macon, and Valdosta. It flooded roads, damaged bridges, downed trees and created power outages and potential problems with dams, the state said.

More storms are expected in the area, possibly bringing another inch of rain.

Florida authorities blamed the storm for nine deaths, including five people who drowned in heavy surf and riptides during the past week around Pensacola. In addition, rescuers continued their search Wednesday for a commercial fisherman missing and presumed dead in the waters off Escambia County, said Ann Rowe, spokeswoman for the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

Three motorists drowned in floodwaters -- two in Pensacola and one in Tallahassee -- and a man was killed in Jacksonville when a tree fell on his home, Rowe said.

In all, damage was reported in 22 Florida counties, and a tornado destroyed three homes in Madison County, she said. More than 170,000 homes in the Jacksonville area were damaged by nearly 10 inches of rain.

Allison came ashore last week near Houston, Texas. Flooding in its wake killed at least 20 people in Texas and Louisiana and did at least $1 billion of damages in Texas alone -- making it the costliest tropical storm in U.S. history.

Four critically ill patients at Houston's Memorial Hermann Hospital, which was designed not to flood, died after the power went out because of flooding. Hospital officials said Wednesday their deaths could not be blamed on the flood, however.

The storm swept then eastward across the Gulf Coast and into Florida. Rowe said Florida officials are still trying to determine how much damage the storm caused in their state.

Steve Letro, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Jacksonville, said the precipitation has brought some relief to the area after four years of drought that has put Florida at risk for wildfires.

"What we needed was a good soaking rain," Letro said, "and this has pretty much provided that." That heavy rain would not be enough to reverse the drought, "But in the short term, it certainly helps the fire situation," he said.

State officials are keeping an eye on rising rivers, but National Weather Service meteorologist Anita Dye said the rivers were low to begin with because of the dry weather.

South China floods, slides kill 17

BEIJING, June 12 — Floods and landslides caused by torrential rains have killed 17 people and caused $78 million in damage over the past 10 days in the south China province of Guangdong, officials said Tuesday. The Guangdong Meteorological Bureau predicted more torrential rains over most of the province on Tuesday and Wednesday, and warned people of further floods and landslides.

Floods hit villages in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Bangladesh, June 11 Nearly a half million stranded by monsoon rains. — Floods caused by weeklong monsoon rains stranded nearly half a million people, washed away mud embankments and damaged rice crops in northeastern Bangladesh, officials said Monday.

There shall be floods, earthquakes, and great loss of life . . .
Our Lady - "Man does not recognize the warnings from the Eternal Father. There shall be great disturbances of nature. There shall be floods, earthquakes, and great loss of life. Pray that this destruction does not come close to your families. Many children shall die."

Floods . . . Pestilence . . .
Our Lady - "My children, unless you pray more, unless you do penance and acts of atonement now, I cannot hold back the punishment, the Chastisement from mankind any longer. As your days proceed, evil is accelerating and the chastisement, minor and major, shall increase. There will be earthquakes in divers places; there will be floods and pestilence, and there will be the eruption of the elements. My children, My counsel to you shall all come to pass." (6-4-77)

Great Heat to come soon . . .
Jesus - "My Mother has directed you well through this stage of man's progressing towards sanctity. However, you must remember this: words were given, and actions have taken place. Our Lady told you several years ago that there would be great floods, and there were great floods; that there would be a great heat, and that will come soon; and after that there will be a great plague. You had a plague now, My children - two diseases unknown in cure for mankind. Did not My Mother, pass along to you that knowledge that there would be diseases that your scientists will not be able to explain nor stop? They will find not cure for it.
"Now, My children, I tell you this: I do not wish to come to you as a visitor with dire warnings, but the object of My coming is to warn you that you may do something and correct the evil that has been perpetrated by the few.

Devastating plague within six months . . .
"There will be one more most devastating plague upon you. That will come within the next six months, My children. You ask, My child, why is this allowed? My child, you have forgotten the real reason for all this: man will benefit from it in the end. For I once said to you many years ago that penance is difficult, but after penance there is a great joy." 6-18-83)

As in the times of the flood . . .
Jesus - "Woe, Woe, Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! Your times are such as have never been seen in the times of mankind. You sin in a manner far more foul than in the times of Sodom and Gomorrah. And whatever shall become of you? As in the times of the flood, the world was cleansed. You shall receive a baptism of fire." (11-1-75)
St. Michael - "Listen well and repeat my words. Woe, woe to man of earth. He calls down upon himself a just punishment for the abominations he commits in his heart and the abominations in the sacred Temples of God. Plague to Claim Many Children...

Great Heat To Come Soon...
