Cover-up and more cover-up: Papal Nuncio refuses to release copy of 1961 Vatican directive that forbids homosexuals from being ordained.

 A Catholic organization called Roman Catholic Faithful (one of the most active Catholic lay apostolates protecting children from abuse by priests and bishops) recently requested from the Papal Nuncio a copy of the Vatican’s 1961 directive that forbids homosexuals from being ordained. This February 1961 directive from the Vatican states:

"Advancement to religious vows and ordination should be barred to those who are afflicted with evil tendencies to homosexuality or pederasty, since for them the common life and the priestly ministry would constitute serious dangers.... They are not fit subjects for the religious life." 

The Papal Nuncio has refused RCF’s request for a copy of this Vatican letter. (Read more…). Furthermore, the Secretary of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops has refused RCF permission to address the U.S. bishops at their June 13th meeting in Dallas, even though RCF has the highest qualifications to do so and has fought for many years against clerical child abuse.
