Year 2006 Starts with Floods, Fires, Record Heat and Cold...

Floods in California...
Guerneville, Calif. - Homeowners shoveled mud and other debris and authorities worked to repair damaged levees Monday after storms flooded Northern California's wine country.

The rain let up over the hard-hit region and moved into Central and Southern California, drenching the Rose Parade for the first time since 1955 and threatening mudslides on hills stripped bare by last summer's wildfires.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state of emergency in seven counties, and initial estimates put the damage throughout Northern California at more than $100 million. The storms were blamed for at least three deaths, all caused by falling trees.

The Russian River at Guerneville began receding after cresting at 41 feet - 9 feet above flood stage - but officials said it would probably not return to its banks until this morning.

Hundreds of homes were flooded in the scenic community, live power lines were down throughout the area, and residents were warned to stay away.

The Marin County town of San Anselmo, north of San Francisco, had an estimated $40 million in damage when a creek flooded the downtown under 4 feet of water and left a coating of mud on streets. Around 50 businesses were damaged. About two miles west in Fairfax, three homes were nearly wiped out by mudslides.

Fires Ravage Oklahoma and Texas Towns...
CARBON, Texas -- Weary firefighters worked through the night attempting to contain three major fires, including one 25-mile-long blaze that charred farm fields, barns and some homes in central Texas.

More helicopters and airplanes were to be used later Monday to battle that 22,400-acre blaze near the Eastland County towns of Carbon and Gorman, about 125 miles west of Dallas, said Texas Forest Service spokeswoman Traci Weaver.

Crews were to conduct a house-house search Monday for casualties in the fire-blackened towns, as well as in Cross Plains, about 25 miles west of Carbon, where more than 90 homes and a church were destroyed in a raging grass fire last week.

The Texas fires were among at least 20 that started Sunday in the Panhandle, northern and western parts of the drought-stricken state and caused evacuations for hundreds and road closures.

"They've got the fire progression stopped," Weaver said early Monday.

Bill Sandlin, 63, and his wife saw smoke on the horizon as they returned home from church Sunday, then started watering their yard. But as flames approached, they packed clothes, pictures and his gun collection. They drove away in a travel trailer just as flames started to engulf their house and three barns.

"We hate losing our stuff, but at least everybody's OK," said Sandlin, who picked up his elderly mother as he left town and later reunited with his children.

Billowing clouds of light gray smoke hung across the horizon for miles in Eastland County.

In Australia record 111 degree heat sparks dozens of wildfires...
SYDNEY, Australia Walls of flames 100 feet high swept through parched eucalyptus forests Sunday as several fires raged out of control in southeastern Australia, injuring one man and destroying several homes and seven fire vehicles.

Dozens of people fled their homes north of Sydney as hundreds of firefighters battled flames.

Authorities closed the freeway heading north from the city as smoke drifted across the area.

Dozens of fires burned across New South Wales, fanned by hot dry winds from the Australian Outback as temperatures reached 111 degrees in Sydney -- the hottest New Year's Day on record for the city.

Most of European Countries under a record cold-spell...
Many European countries are entering a cold-spelled New Year’s, since heavy snowfall and low temperatures have created arctic scenery.

Many persons, in their majority homeless, have lost their lives in France, Poland and Great Britain, while snow has caused problems in transport, as well as road accidents. In Switzerland, mercury plunged recording -35 degrees Celsius (-31 degrees Fahrenheit), a low temperature record for this winter.

In Poland, 23 persons lost their lives from the extreme cold, while continuous snowfall has creating great problems. Two persons lost their lives in France, where temperature reached -26 degrees Celsius (-15 degrees Fahrenheit). In the Netherlands, in Amsterdam, low visibility forced the authorities of Schiphol Airport to close specific runways.

Meanwhile, following the traffic chaos caused by snow in eastern Yorkshire, meteorologists forecasted a worsening of weather in southern Great Britain and Scotland.

Tragedies and disasters shall increase . . .

Storms, rotting crops and famine . . .
    Our Lady - "Storms shall ravage the shores; crops will rot in the ground - famine. Insanity, from sin, in the minds of the young. Murders. Who shall govern your fine country, My children, in the future, as the pollution is bending the stalks. Repent now of your sin, for the hand of just punishment is being lowered upon you." (7-25-78)

Your Country shall be caught up in a whirlwind!
Our Lady - "As you sow, My children, so shall you reap. And now you have yourselves to reap a whirlwind! Your city, your country shall be caught up in a whirlwind! Who shall pray for you but the few. My children, I say unto you now but for the prayers of the few, your country, the United States, would have received a chastisement of blood!" (2-10-78)

You are preparing to reap the whirlwind!
    Jesus - "I ask parents to restore discipline to their homes. I demand My pastors to restore discipline to My Church upon earth. You will not convert the masses, but you will set yourselves to be destroyed by the enemies of God, because you do not pray, because you do not seek means of mortification. Droughts, famine, rotting crops, hurricanes, floods . . .
    St. Michael - "Hasten, harken, and listen to the words of warning to a generation that has become perverse, degraded - and abominations committed to offend your God. In justice and for penance, there will be visited upon your earth great trials - droughts, famine, rotting crops, hurricanes, floods, all manner of earth tremors and disturbances of nature, increasing in volume, spreading throughout your world. There will be eruptions and manifestations that shall bring terror to the hearts of many, in places that have never seen nor heard of such volume of sound and fierce eruptions of the earth.

Warnings gone by unnoticed . . .

You have received these warnings that have gone by unnoticed: floods, hurricanes, fires, disasters, accidents that are not accidents, earthquakes in places that have never experienced such terror before. How many warnings must the Eternal Father send upon mankind before they will awaken and do penance?

    "Sin and abominations have been accepted in your country and in the world as a way of life. Whatever shall We do with the souls who are coming fast over the veil unprepared? Whatever shall the Father do with them?"
    "When the Chastisement is given to man, it will not annihilate the world as in the time of the floods, My children. No, the Father plans a gradual cleansing of earth. With the return of My Son, there will remain only the sheep." (5-30-73)

    Jesus - "My child, We specifically brought you here this evening after the last trial of the past week. This was allowed to come upon you with no destruction to your home. However, you knew the fear of fleeing to the mountains. We directed you, My child, and you did well. And you escaped having to suffer the hours of darkness, and the sound of the howling of the winds, and the rise of the waters. But, My child and My children, it will happen again, but this time it will claim lives.
    "Do not be affrighted, My child; I did not say that this will happen to your home on Long Island again. You suffered not the moments of terror. We did not wish for you to succumb from sorrow at that time, My child, so We sent you to the mountains; and you returned once the winds had died down to find a home still intact.

There has not been one home on Long Island that had a crucifix on its door that did fall to any evil. I do not speak of the trees, My child; I speak of mankind. You see, My child, I set you down in that area to bring the word to mankind, and it was through these words that many listened and the passed through the horrible experience of a hurricane."
