Former Military Air Traffic Controller claims possible comet collision with Earth on May 25, 2006… Comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann

KEALAKEKUA, Hawaii, April 13 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Eric Julien, a former French military air traffic controller and senior airport manager, has completed a study of the Comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann and declared that a fragment is highly likely to impact the Earth on or around May 25, 2006.

Using NASA simulations of the comet's path, Julien concludes that impact is likely around May 25 precisely when the comet crosses the Earth's ecliptic plane. While the first fragment will cross at approximately 10 million miles, lagging fragments threaten to collide. While astronomers have stated that the comet poses no direct threat, Julien argues that some fragments are too small to observe. Astronomers have predicted possible meteor showers indicating some cometary debris will enter the atmosphere.

Julien argues that the kinetic energy of even a 'car sized' fragment will impact the Earth with devastating effect. Regarding its importance, Julien declares: "we have to save lives when we have such information to share with the public". He further claims it important "to preserve all data, historical artifacts and precious material in the event of such a collision." Julien predicts that the comet collision will occur in the Atlantic Ocean between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer, and generates 200 meter waves. Julien concludes that "each person with this information has to take responsibility to warn potential victims."

Now that it is coming back close to Earth, stargazers have spotted about 40 pieces of Schwassmann-Wachmann 3. The two largest pieces are labeled "B" and "C." Right now the pieces are quite small and dim but visible in medium-sized telescopes.

Comets are unpredictable -- no one knows how bright it will get. Piece "C" is the largest, and predictions that it will reach fourth magnitude may be overly optimistic (that is equal to some of the fainter stars in the Little Dipper). You can start looking for the comet near the constellation Corona Borealis -- the Northern Crown.

Face east at about 9:30 tonight and find the bright reddish star Arcturus. Corona Borealis is below and left of Arcturus. The comet should be visible as a smudge at one end of the Northern Crown. Over the next few days, the comet will move towards the constellation Hercules. The comet will continue to brighten, but moonlight will begin to interfere in early May, requiring viewing to be done in the early morning hours. Broken fragments of Comet 73P Schwassmann-Wachmann.

    Veronica - Now I see a lot of people lying on the ground, and I know they're dead. And now there are people trying to dig trenches, but there are so many they can't bury them. And now there's - Our Lady says:
    Our Lady - "Look, My child."
    Veronica - Oh, my goodness! There's a horse, a man and a horse, but there's a light shining upon them and it's all green. "Death and Pestilence", written above their head is "Death and Pestilence." Oh, my! Oh! Oh! Blessed Mother. (11-23-74)

I see water, water rising very, very high...
Veronica - Now over on the left I see houses, beautiful houses up on a hill. But the water - I see water, water rising very, very high. The water is going twelve, thirteen, fourteen feet high. Now there - oh! It's very windy and it's very noisy, because the water is hitting the sides.
Now I see the houses starting to shake. And these houses are like on the edges of the water, and all the dirt now is starting to come from under them. And they're just sliding down the side...sliding down. And I hear screaming; people are screaming. (8-14-73)

I see water now covering a city...
Veronica - Now I see the water, and I see the water rising very high, very high. Oh, the waters are rising at least..oh, fourteen, fifteen feet higher than it normally would be. The Ball Twirling...
Veronica - Now I see this large ball again. It's cutting across the sky. Our Lady is standing. She's pointing with Her hand up, and there the ball now is rolling very fast. It seems to have no direction. It's cutting across the sky, and up and down and back, as though it's gone absolutely crazy. It's twirling in every direction.
Now I see a large, large rock that's being - it's falling from it now, and it's going down into the water. When it hits the water, the water is rising very high. The rock hit is as though it was like a bomb. It caused the waves to rise very, very high; and I see some ships that are carried down. This rock is sinking into what looks like an ocean. And I see three or four ships that are carried down with it. It's like a whirlpool. Oh - h. (pause) (7-1-73)

The Chastisement from Heaven...
Veronica - I see a large ball of fire. It's traveling very fast. It's growing larger as it's coming closer. As it comes.. as it's twirling through the space I see there are stars falling...I think they're stars. There are stars falling about it. And the ball is very hot now; it's moving very fast. It's now going over behind the moon. The moon now looks green on one side. Part of it seems to be melting. Oh. It's twirling very fast, over on the right side; it's like a burning star. It looks almost like the fourth of July; like a sparkler, only very red and orange.
Now as it comes closer it's very, very hot. The ball looks white, like white heat. Now also something is breaking away from...it's like chunks of breaking rock and heat. (3-27-73)

Crucifix upon their doors...
Veronica - I see a road. I see people fleeing, their clothes are ragged. It seems as though they had been hit by some kind of shrapnel, or something that's tearing the clothes off their bodies. But the worst part of all is that beyond the roads I see bodies, dead bodies strewn all over, in the streets, through the houses, in the lots. And I see the waters aflame. And I see waters churning and churning, and rising higher and higher, as they wash onto the shores that border the seas.
Jesus - "Yes, My child, in the great Chastisement a ball of fire shall fall into the waters killing all that is living in the seas. And, also, unfortunately, because they could not listen and change their ways, many will die also from the flames and also from the waters. Those living along the coastlines, We caution them to keep a sacramental and a crucifix upon their doors, for the angel of death shall not enter your home." (7-1-85)
