Pro-life Advocate Randall Terry Says He “Will Show Dead Babies on Every TV Station” in Iowa During Election Season...
“Your country and many countries of the world stand now in judgment by the Eternal Father for the murders of the unborn. No man shall destroy a creation of the Eternal Father. The spirit of life is breathed at the moment of conception into the body of a living child. With fewer than 10 weeks until the Iowa caucuses, most of the focus has been on the long list of Republican candidates.
But there’s a little known challenge to President Obama in his own party.
His name is Randall Terry, an anti-abortion advocate who already says he can’t win the election, but instead will attempt to keep President Obama from getting re-elected. Terry says he plans to do it by likely airing a series of controversial- graphic uncensored ads on abortion. He knows as a candidate, under federal law, TV stations can’t stop him.
“We will show dead babies on every television station in the state of Iowa during this caucus season,” Terry said during a stop in Cedar Rapids on Thursday.
The democratic candidate says he believes he can use the ads to convince Christian, Catholic and Evangelical voters not to vote for Obama. Despite his extremely conservative views, do not be too quick to assume Terry supports any of the current Republican candidates. While talking to press, Terry called Republican candidate Mitt Romney “Obama in white skin.”
“Obama would actually be better than Mitt Romney, because Romney will decimate the religious right and pro-life conservative family movement,” said Terry.
Iowa’s Democratic Party says they believe this is all a ploy for what they call Randall Terry’s “agenda”, and the party says they’re not convinced voters will consider Terry a credible candidate during the caucus.
“He needs 15% of the precinct to be a viable candidate on caucus night,” said Iowa Democratic Party spokesman, Sam Roecker. “I think that’s going to be a tough sell because he’s not taking it seriously.”
We don’t know for sure what Terry’s TV ads will look like, but most of the spots on his website show images of abortion so graphic we can’t show them to you on-air without blurring nearly all the video.
“If a Christian voter knows that Barack Obama intends to use his power to promote baby killing in America, with their vote, they have betrayed the babies they have betrayed Christ himself,” said Terry.
Whether Terry is successful or not in his campaign for the presidency, stations will be required by federal law to run the TV spots as is, no changes, no censoring, and no restriction on what time the ads can air.
But under FCC regulations, the viewers will likely get one of two brief warnings just before the ad, so they can chose to stay tuned or flip the channel.
It is KCRG-TV9′s policy that we will warn viewers just before a political ad airs that might be unsuitable for young children.
