Are the Four Blood Moons (Tetrad) a Divine Sign from God to the World?

"And I saw, when he had opened the sixth seal: and behold there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair: and the whole moon became as blood.  And the stars from heaven fell upon the earth, as the fig tree casteth its green figs when it is shaken by a great wind.  And the heaven departed as a book folded up. And every mountain, and the islands, were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth and the princes and tribunes and the rich and the strong and every bondman and every freeman hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of mountains:  And they say to the mountains and the rocks: Fall upon us and hide us from the face of him that sitteth upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.  For the great day of their wrath is come. And who shall be able to stand?" - Apocalypse 6:12-17

CBN News - Inside Israel reported on February 12, 2014:

SAN ANTONIO -- The Book of Genesis says God uses the sun, moon, and stars for signs and seasons. Examples can be found throughout the Bible.   Think of how a star led the wise men to Jesus or how the sun stood still as Joshua led Israel to victory over its enemies.

According to Pastor John Hagee, God is getting ready to speak this way once again.  "There's a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way," Hagee told CBN News.

"I believe that in these next two years, we're going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world," he predicted.

Four Blood Moons (Tetdad)

In his latest book, Four Blood Moons (Tetrad): Something Is About to Change, Hagee lays out what he calls celestial signals. He describes how a series of blood moons in 2014 and 2015 will have great significance for Israel.   Although single blood moons happen fairly regularly, four appearing so closely together is extremely rare. There have only been a series of blood moons a handful of times over the past 500 years.  So what exactly is a blood moon and what is the biblical significance?

"A blood moon is when the Earth comes between the sun and the moon," Hagee explained. "And the sun is shining through the atmosphere of the Earth and casts up on the moon a red shadow. And so the moon appears to be red."

Such moons appear several times in scripture.  In the book of Joel, God says there will be "wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire…the sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord."

In Acts, the Apostle Peter repeats that verse from Joel. And the book of Revelation says that during the Great Tribulation, "the moon will become like blood."  Blood moons are set to appear in April 2014, on Passover, and then again in September 2014 during the Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot.  The timing is the same for 2015 -- a total of four blood moons (Tetrad), all appearing on Jewish feast days.

"The sun and the moon and the Earth are controlled by God almighty," Hagee said. "He is the one that is getting them in a direct alignment on a certain day at a certain time -- but each time, it's a Passover or Sukkot.

Historic Significance

In the past, the rare appearance of four blood moons on these feast days has coincided with major events for Israel and the Jewish people.  In 1492, Spain expelled the Jews. Columbus also discovered America, which became a safe haven for the Jewish people.

"In each of these blood moons, you have something that begins in tragedy and ends in triumph," Hagee explained.

For instance, in 1948, Israel was reborn as a nation.  "After 2,000 years, God supernaturally brought them from 66 nations and a nation was born in a day," Hagee noted. "That again was a supernatural something that happened following the tragedy of the Holocaust."

In 1967, Israel won the Six-Day War and recaptured Jerusalem.  "For the first time in 2,000 years, Jerusalem and the State of Israel were together again," Hagee said.

Nuclear Threat

The blood moons (Tetrad) of 2014 and 2015 are poised to appear as Iran works toward nuclear weapons and Israel's neighbors, Egypt and Syria, are in chaos.  "The only reason that Iran will not acquire a nuclear bomb will be that Israel chooses a military solution to that crisis," Hagee told CBN News.

"I believe that if that happens, it will start a series of events that will change the course of world history," he said. "If Israel does not, then it will still change the course of world history."

Hagee has been warning of the Iranian nuclear threat through his work with Christians United for Israel, which he founded in 2006. It is now the largest pro-Israel organization in America, with some 1.3 million members.

He holds nights to honor Israel across the country and at San Antonio's Cornerstone Church, where he serves as senior pastor. The first event, in 1981, drew bomb threats and vandalism from anti-Semites.

Yet Hagee continues his mission.  "If there was ever a time for the Christians of America to stiffen their spine and stand up and speak up, it's now," Hagee admonished. "To see evil and not call it evil is evil. Not to speak is to speak. We cannot be silent and receive God's approval at a time like this."

He said it's still unclear what the coming blood moons will bring, but he is certain of one thing.  "When all is said and done, the flag of Israel will be flying over the walls of the city of Jerusalem when Messiah comes, and it's going to be forever," he said. "And every nation that rises up in judgment against Israel God will punish and punish severely.

"But this is that which was spoken of by the prophet Joel: And it shall come to pass, in the last days, (saith the Lord), I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy: and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.  And upon my servants indeed and upon my handmaids will I pour out in those days of my spirit: and they shall prophesy.  And I will shew wonders in the heaven above, and signs on the earth beneath: blood and fire, and vapour of smoke.  The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and manifest day of the Lord to come.  And it shalt come to pass, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Acts 2:16-21

There was a Tetrad (Four Blood Moons) at the time of the Crucifixion of Our Lord...

 

There has been 8 Tetrads (Four Blood Moons) since 1AD.  The 9th Tetrad will be in 2014 and 2015.

666 AND THE MOON
Veronica - Now they’re looking about, and I can see St. Joseph now.  He’s moving over to the right, and he has—the first time I’ve noticed that he has a long staff in his hand.  He’s placing it in his left hand now, and he’s pointing up to the sky.  And written in the sky is “666”, and under it a moon.  But it’s, it’s not quite a half-moon, it looks like a quarter-moon.  But it is a moon, definitely a moon, shaded in darkness until it makes like a quarter-moon.  And the “666” is blazing red in the sky, very very, heavy red.  Oh, my!  Oh, my!  My, it’s very—I don’t know whether to feel frightened. - Sept 7, 1978

DARK MOON
Veronica - Now—oh, on the left side of the flagpole it's growing very light. It's very bright. And I see now in the distance, it's a ... it's a ... it's shooting—it looks like the fourth of July. There's a round ball, and it's shooting out sparks. And the sparks now, they're orange. But now as it's spinning, it's taking on different colors of yellow and orange. And now I see it's very close. But over on the right side, it's very warm; it's very hot. And now the ball is spinning high over our heads, and coming from it are these vapors. [Veronica coughs.] It's very difficult to breathe. The vapors are very heavy.      And now I notice that the sun now is turning very dark. It's growing very dark. And the moon—now the moon has come out. It's coming down, but it also is taking on a very gray cast. And now everything is becoming so dark that I'm raising my hand in front of me, but I can't even see my hand! And Our Lady now is—I hear Her voice, but now the world is in complete darkness. And She says:  
    Our Lady - "Light your candles, My children. They will burn in the darkness." - May 30,1973

BLACK MOON
Veronica - Now Jesus is pointing over to the left side of the flagpole. And by the left side I see coming through the clouds—it’s not clouds, it’s very dark. It’s very dark about it, but I see a very large ball. The ball looks very heavy. It’s standing still. No, it’s not the fiery ball; it looks like the moon. Yes, it’s the moon because I can see the holes on it. And I see the moon now; it’s turning very black. - November 24, 1973 

THE MOON IS COVERED
Veronica - And I see now this darkness—a great, great mist. And then a deep, musty-looking haze, and it’s now going and passing across the moon. And now there’s no moon; there’s no light. The moon’s absolutely covered; I can’t see it. There’s no light. - December 24, 1973

SIGNS  OF  THE  LAST  DAYS

   Oh, I don't—Blessed Mother . . . the chapter? Oh, Matthew 24—The Signs of the Last Days.
   Verse 23 - "Then if anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is Christ,' or, 'There He is,' do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will arise, and will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told it to you beforehand. If, therefore, they say to you, 'Behold, he is in the desert,' go not forth; 'Behold, he is in the inner chambers,' do not believe it. For as the lightning comes forth from the east and shines even to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
   "But immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then there will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven; and then will all tribes of the earth mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of heaven with great power and majesty. And He will send forth His angels with a trumpet and a great sound, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, and from one end of the heavens to the other."
   Veronica - And we will repeat again in verse 5 of St. Matthew, Chapter 24.
   "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray. For you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. Take care that you do not be alarmed, for these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be pestilences and famines and earthquakes in various places. But all these things are the beginnings of the sorrows.
   "And many of them shall fall away, many will fall away and will betray one another, and will hate one another. And many false prophets will arise, and will lead many astray. And because iniquity will abound, [things will become so bad] the charity of many will grow cold. [One will in that way be afraid to even trust your neighbor or even trust anyone out on the street. That's how bad the evil will abound.] But whoever perseveres to the end, [trusting in Jesus] shall be saved. And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world, for a witness to all the nations; and then will come the end." - Our Lady, June 18, 1982

JERUSALEM  &  PALESTINE
Our Lady - "You ask, My child, how this situation evolved.  It was not in the plan of God to bring the great Chastisement upon you at this time. It is the will of man that has forced His hand upon you.
     "The great plague and darkness will come before the Ball of Redemption.
     "Gradually you will find the extinction of man evolving from the earth.  The Father does not plan to completely eradicate man from earth as He did during the time of Noah, choosing only a few to set up the Kingdom.
     "There will be a great War..."
Veronica - And over to the left side of the flagpole there's written a word: "YELLOW AGAINST WHITE - WHITE AGAINST BLACK", and then there's a large cross over the world.  It's a globe of the world, and there's blood dripping over on one side. And there's a pool of blood; it's like a river. And now the word comes out from inside the blood, and it says: "PALESTINE" P - A - L - E - S - T - I - N - E, and underneath, "JERUSALEM." - March 25, 1973

WORLD  WAR  III  
Veronica -  . . . Our Lady now is looking down sadly.  And I see She's pointing now to what looks like a map.  Oh, my!
     Now as I am watching—it's a map of... oh, I can see Jerusalem, and Egypt, Arabia, French Morocco, Africa. Oh, my goodness! There seems to be a very dense darkness now settling upon those countries. Oh, my!
     And Our Lady is saying:
Our Lady - "The start of the Third World War, My child." -- March 29, 1975  

ISRAEL  IN  FLAMES
Veronica - ... and there's another map.  And I see Israel, and countries about it; they're all aflame....
    "The wars shall increase, and the carnage shall increase, and those who are living will often envy the dead, so great will be the suffering of mankind.... When he left the Eternal Father he turned to satan, and this is his reward." - Our Lady, June 30, 1984

AN  ARABIAN  SABER 
Veronica - And I can see now Jesus and Our Lady are going high up into the sky, and there's forming directly over Our Lady's statue, high in the sky—it is a cross, a very large cross.  The handle, though, of a . . . dagger—it looks like a dagger, a knife.  It's a strange-looking dagger with a loop at the bottom, like. It's a symbol. And Jesus is nodding.
    Jesus - "You will understand, My child, soon."
    Veronica - Yes, it is a, like a saber. Gee, it, it's a very strange-looking, dagger-like saber, with a cross on a handle. Like—it's not the kind that you see—it looks almost like Arabian or something. I can't explain it—like a very strange-looking Arabic, or something. I don't know where I have seen that before, but it's a very odd-looking type of dagger-like sword, with a hook on the end of it, though. That's strange. Oh, now it's beginning to fade; I can't see it anymore. - December 24, 1979  

A  WORLD  AFLAME
