Informed Catholics know that genuine miracles, Marian apparitions and prophecy are part of the gifts God has given to the Catholic Church. We despise God-given prophecy to our own peril, personally and as a nation: "Extinguish not the spirit. Despise not prophecies. But prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5: 19-21)

St. Thomas Aquinas, a Doctor of the Church, stated that prophecy is given by God "not indeed for the declaration of any new doctrine of faith, but for the direction of human acts" (St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica II-II, q174 a6 reply 3).

This is Church teaching.

And is mankind and our nation ever in need of God's direction!

Actually, many Catholics today are living out their heads, with many liberal ideas that usually all have the common element of trying to diminish their personal responsibility. When God works genuine miracles as evidence that He is the author of a given message to the world, and we disobey, how are we not guilty of sin? Remember the Bible verse, "To him therefore who knoweth to do good, and doth it not, to him it is sin." (James 4:17) Everyone who has read the Bible knows the consequences that Israel faced each time they ignored the genuine prophet God had sent them. It was typically a response of despising God's prophets and they received the punishment that God had predicted through His prophets.

"Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted?" (Acts of the Apostles 7:52)

It seems that humanity is stuck on stupid.

So if at Fatima God commanded Catholics to pray the Rosary and for the Church hierarchy to consecrate Russia (and these instructions are not obeyed), how are we not guilty of sin, as Catholics? Remember, the consequence of disobeying God's command at Fatima is that "various nations would be annihilated." This is the destruction that we will bring upon ourselves, because we did not obey God.

Such a punishment would be just, because we did not accept God's infinite sovereignty over us, but instead followed our own sinful inclinations, to the exclusion of God's clearly expressed divine will.

Already, millions have been enslaved and murdered by communism, the "errors of Russia" that Our Lady of Fatima warned us about. But people tell themselves that Fatima is private revelation, and wash their hands like Pilate while their brothers and sisters throughout the world suffer on account of their laxity and indifference.

So, it is false to say that a command from God may be disobeyed with no consequences. It is false to say that we are under no responsibility to obey God, when He speaks to us through His prophets.

God has full sovereignty to command us, and the Church. To refuse to obey God is the "non serviam" of  Lucifer. Pride, which willingly usurps the rights of God, "is the gravest of sins, says St. Thomas, because it is the refusal to submit to God's sovereign will." (Tanquerey, The Spiritual Life, #832, p. 399) 

Pope St. Pius X, in his Oath Against Modernism, mentioned that "divine acts and especially miracles and prophecies as the surest signs of the divine origin of the Christian religion and I hold that these same proofs are well adapted to the understanding of all eras and all men, even of this time."

One great example of a nation being saved by listening to God's prophet is St. Joan of Arc. God gave her the mission to save France. She listened to God, the people of France listened and had faith (by the evident signs and miracles being wrought through St. Joan of Arc).

It is presumptuous to think that the United States will survive if it continues to offend God as brazenly as Sodom and Gomorrah did. If fact, Jesus at Bayside has warned that if Americans ignore the instructions at Bayside we will be "finished as a nation":
