Europe fears Muslim violence similar to France's...

Veronica - Oh, now I see - Our Lady is pointing over and there is - oh my goodness! - it looks like people are fighting. Oh! It's a terrible war! Oh! It's a terrible war! Oh! there's so much blood! And I see a stream of blood and it's going across the waters, and it looks like Italy...and France. Oh my! Now Our Lady is coming forward, and She's placing upon Her head a black shawl:
Our Lady - "Yes, My child, much blood will be shed upon the earth. Many will be martyred for the cause of My Son before this battle is over." (6-15-74)

Veronica - Our Lady is pointing over now to Her left side, that would be our right side, and over... I can see a map, and I know it's a map of Europe, Western Europe. There's something going on there.
    Our Lady - "It has not started, My child, but there will be great confusion, and war shall break out in the western part of Germany." (6-30-84)
   Our Lady - "There is much, My child, that cannot be revealed at this time. You must remain silent.
    "There are many prayers, My child, being offered for the repatriation of the country Portugal. Unless there is a measure of prayers in accordance with the balance set by the Eternal Father, the forces of evil shall take over the beautiful land of Portugal and enter upon Spain. Pray a constant vigilance of prayer." (9-13-75)

As urban violence spread to neighboring Belgium and possibly Germany, the French government faced growing criticism for its inability to stop the violence, despite massive police deployment and continued calls for calm. Vandals burned more than 1,400 vehicles overnight Sunday, and clashes around the country left 36 police injured, setting a new high for nightly arson and violence since rioting started Oct. 27, France's national police chief, Michel Gaudin, told a news conference.

Australia, Britain, Germany and Japan advised their citizens to exercise care in France, joining the United States, Russia and at least a half dozen other countries in warning tourists to stay away from violence-hit areas. The victim was identified as 61-year-old Jean-Jacques Le Chenadec, who died after being beaten by an attacker. The man, a retired auto industry worker, was trying to extinguish a trash can fire Friday at his housing project in the northeastern suburb of Stains when an attacker caught him by surprise and beat him into a coma, police said.

Apparent copycat attacks spread outside France for the first time, with five cars torched outside Brussels' main train station, police in the Belgian capital said. The mayhem started as an outburst of anger in suburban Paris housing projects and has fanned out nationwide among disaffected youths, mostly of Muslim or African descent, to become France's worst civil unrest in over a decade. Attacks overnight Sunday to Monday were reported in 274 towns, and police made 395 arrests, Gaudin said.

Churches were set ablaze in northern Lens and southern Sete, while arsonists burned two schools and a bus in the central city of Saint-Etienne and its suburbs, injuring two people. In Colombes, outside Paris, a 13-month-old child required hospital treatment for a head injury after youths threw stones at a bus, Mr Hamon said, while a day-care centre in Saint-Maurice, another Paris suburb, was burned.

"This spread, with a sort of shock wave spreading across the country, shows up in the number of towns affected," Gaudin said, noting that the violence appeared to be sliding away from its flash point in the Parisian suburbs and worsening elsewhere. It was the first time police had been injured by weapons' fire and there were signs that rioters were deliberately seeking out clashes with police, officials said.

Among the injured police, 10 were hurt by youths firing fine-grain birdshot in a late-night clash in the southern Paris suburb of Grigny, national police spokesman Patrick Hamon said. Two were hospitalized, but their lives were not considered in danger. One was wounded in the neck, the other in the legs. The unrest began Oct. 27 in the low-income Paris suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois after the deaths of two teenagers who were of Mauritanian and Tunisian descent. The youths were accidentally electrocuted as they hid from police in a power substation, apparently thinking they were being chased.

All told, 4,700 cars have been burned in France since the rioting began and 1,200 suspects were detained at least temporarily, Gaudin said. The growing violence is forcing France to confront long-simmering anger in its suburbs, where many Africans and their French-born children live on society's margins, struggling with high unemployment, racial discrimination and despair - fertile terrain for crime of all sorts as well as for Muslim extremists offering frustrated youths a way out. France, with some 5 million Muslims, has the largest Islamic population in western Europe.

President Jacques Chirac, whose government is under intense pressure to halt the violence, promised stern punishment for those behind the attacks, making his first public comments Sunday since the riots started. "The law must have the last word," Chirac said Sunday after a security meeting with top ministers. France is determined "to be stronger than those who want to sow violence or fear, and they will be arrested, judged and punished."

    Jesus - "The Eternal City of Rome shall pass through a great conflagration. Discipline must be restored. Obedience, yes - but true obedience to their God and not to the mores of man. Much evil is being condoned, disguised under the guise of obedience. Let us, My children, call this a false obedience, clouded by errors and satanism." (8-21-76)

Blood Shall Flow in the Streets
Our Lady - "The forces, the red forces, are gathering within the Eternal City of Rome and throughout all of Europe, My children. Unless man turns back quickly, blood shall flow in the streets. Revolution shall come, and many shall die. The world is entering a time of great trial. Pray a constant vigilance of prayer, My children." (9-7-76)
Voice - "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth! Blood baths in the Eternal City! Blood will flow through the streets, Revolution and death! Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitants of the earth!" (11-1-74)

A Great Revolution in Rome
   Our Lady - "There will be a great revolution in Rome, in Italy, and many countries in Europe, My child, because the man of sin is preparing the way. The forces of communism are gaining and will enter upon the Seat of Peter. You will recognize, My children, by the directions that shall come from Rome." (3-25-78)
    Veronica - Our Lady pointed to two maps in the sky. One is of Africa. Our Lady said, "There will be great strife in the dark lands." Then, a map with a boot: Italy. Flames were rising from the boot. She says, "Great revolution! Sadness to all heaven's heart!" (9-28-72)
   Our Lady - "Oh, My child, how many tears of sorrow do I shed for what is coming upon your Holy Father and Our Vicar, Pope Paul VI, in the Eternal City of Rome!
