Abortion: the ultimate exploitation of women...
"Woman of the world, you have chosen to become murderers, killing your young. You defy the Eternal Father in your quest for luxury and pleasure. You have cast aside your role as women and have aligned yourselves with homosexuality and lesbianism, and as such you corrupt the young. Woe to a generation that has made sin a way of life." - Our Lady of the Roses, June 1, 1978
The following are some seldom-seen quotes from famous women who fought for women's rights, and opposed the sin of abortion:
"Women becoming, consequently, weaker ... than they ought to be ... have not sufficient strength to discharge the first duty of a mother ... either destroy the embryo in the womb, or cast it off when born. Nature in everything demands respect, and those who violate her laws seldom violate them with impunity." - Mary Wollstonecraft, A Vindication of the Rights of Women, 1792.
"No matter what the motive, love of ease, or a desire to save from suffering the unborn innocent, the woman is awfully guilty who commits the deed. It will burden her conscience in life, it will burden her soul in death, but oh, thrice guilty is he who ... drove her to the desperation that impelled her to the crime! We must reach the root of the evil... It is practiced by those whose inmost souls revolt from the dreadful deed." - Abortion is also referrred to her as "child murder] - Susan B. Anthony, The Revolution, IV, No. 1 (July 8, 1869), 1.
"[Abortion is] infanticide." - Elizabeth Cady Stanton, The Revolution, I, No. 5 (February 5, 1868), 1.
"When we consider that women are treated as property, it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit." - Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Letter to Julia Ward Howe, October 16, 1873, in the Howe diary at Harvard University Library
"[Abortion] lies deeper down in women's wrongs than any other ... I hesitate not to assert that most of [the responsibility for] this crime lies at the door of the male sex." - Matilda Gage, The Revolution, I, No. 14 (April 9, 1868), 215-6.
"... when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstance she has been greatly wronged." - Matti Brinkerhoff, The Revolution, III, No. 9 (September 2, 1869), 138-9.
"The rights of children as individuals begin while yet they remain the fetus." - Victoria Woodhull, Woodhull's and Claffin's Weekly, II, No. 6 (December 24, 1860), 4.
"Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women." - Alice Paul to a colleague [Alice Paul was the author of the original Equal Rights Amendment in 1923. She lived until 1977].
"We warned you over and over again, through years of visitations upon earth--My Mother going to and fro to warn you, that those who have given themselves over to debasement, by the practice of homosexuality, birth control, abortion and all other aberrations that bring sorrow to My Mother's heart--this must be stopped now. There shall be no excuse accepted in Heaven by the saints, nor by My Mother and I, or the Eternal Father and the Holy Ghost, for what you are doing upon earth now." - Jesus, June 6, 1987
