The Holy Eucharist

“The greatest evil being now committed in My Son’s House is denying His divinity, defiling His Sacred Body, casting mockery upon it….” - Our Lady of the Roses, March 18, 1977

"Communion in the hand has not been, and will not be accepted by Heaven. This is a sacrilege in the eyes of the Eternal Father, and must not be continued, for you only add to your punishment when you continue on in the ways that have been found to be unpleasing to the Eternal Father." - Our Lady of the Roses, June 30, 1984

If enough people defend Our Eucharistic Lord, and enough people sacrifice and pray, by God’s grace Pope Benedict XVI will ban this abusive and irreverent practice of Communion in the hand. Please click on the link following this paragraph, where we ask that you give us as many incidents as you can recall, that should be brought to the Holy Father’s attention. Please give us the city and state, approximate date, and your name (or initials, at least). As Fr. John Hardon has said, “Whatever you can do to stop Communion in the hand will be blessed by God.”

Cannot understand why so many priests and bishops are hell-bent on desecrating the Holy Host:

July 25, 2008

To Our Dear Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI,

Please, tell our local priest, here in Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia, to allow us a few communicants to receive Our Lord Jesus Christ, which, we believe present in the Holy Eucharist in a kneeling position. At the moment they encourage everyone to receive Our Lord in standing position only with a simple bow as a gesture which is against my conscience, and as true also as for the rest of us few. At the moment they, (the priest and most of the parishioners) seem to be in delight that we the (conservatives as  the priest called us) are receiving Holy Communion standing, to our dismay too!  Why call it Holy Communion, if we are not allowed to give due reverence to the Holy Eucharist? .... They say that in the olden times the faithful received the Holy Communion standing.  I do not believe on their poor reasoning.  I think they just desire so much to put an end to the kind of reverence that we would love to give to Our Dear Lord Jesus Christ, during Holy Communion.  I cannot understand why so many bishops and priests here in Queensland are so hell-bent in desecrating the Holy Host. I hope and pray as I always include in my prayers that they will see the light that what they are doing are really sacrilegious.  I only learned from a friend that, a 25 year old male communicant was kneeling to receive the Holy Host, and he was told to stand up.  The communicant was saying, that he would love to receive Jesus kneeling, he was told again to stand up. The communicant again said, that he is not to be denied Holy Communion in kneeling position. Still he was asked again to stand up.  The last recourse the communicant used was to recite the Canon Law number (forgot the number) issued by the Vatican, that no one is to be denied in receiving Holy Communion while kneeling down.

Today Catholics don't even know what a paten is:

July 13, 2008:

I am a 60 year old cradle Catholic educated in Catholic schools. The nuns always drilled it into us that we were not worthy to touch a consecrated host with our unconsecrated hands. We were to receive Our Lord on our tongue because if we are in the state of grace, our tongue is the consecrated throne to receive of our Lord.

I was an altar boy (pre Vatican II), and when a consecrated host fell to the floor, it was a ritual of having to wash the floor where our Lord's body fell. Today's Catholics don't even know what a paten is.

Except for one occasion, to this day, I have never touched a consecrated host. I always receive communion on the tongue.

I have had had one occasion where a priest refused to give me communion on the tongue and whispered to me to take it in my hand.  This is the only time I have ever touched a consecrated host, and it gave me a horrible feeling of disrespect for our Lord and made me sick to my stomach.

I have decided that if this should ever happen again, that I will respectfully return to my pew without receiving communion.

I strongly believe that if our Catholics truly believed in the Real Presence, that they would never touch His body with their unconsecrated hands, and that that they would be dressed properly with utmost modesty and respect when they approach to receive communion.

Communion in the hand is a detestable thing in the eyes of God:

March 19, 2008:

Dearest Holy Father,

I would like to say that it is high time Holy Communion is to be given only on the tongue and not in the hand as it is a detestable thing in the eyes of God, we will only add to our punishments the more Communion is being given in the hand. Another thing is Holy Communion is to be distributed by a legally ordained priest and not a Nun or any lay person.

Please take my comments seriously.

With prayers and good wishes,

Bring Jesus back to the center of the Mass:

February 28, 2008:

"Communion in the hand has not been, and will not be accepted by Heaven. This is a sacrilege in the eyes of the Eternal Father, and must not be continued, for you only add to your punishment when you continue on in the ways that have been found to be unpleasing to the Eternal Father." - Our Lady of the Roses, June 30, 1984

Need I say more!  But I will. This must be done to bring Jesus back to the center of the Mass.

1) Receiving the Holy Eucharist on the tongue and only by the priest (not lay minister).

2) Restore the alter railings so the one may receive Our Lord on their knees.

3) Restore the Tabernacle to the center area of the altar (instead of in separate room off to the side-which is commonly seen).

4) Restore the Traditional methods of the Mass and reception of Holy Communion.

Vatican II has destroyed the Catholic church.  Please restore it.

Dear Holy Father,

As teacher, sacristan, and EME, I can only confirm what this web site (www.tldm.org) pleads.

Since last Holy Thursday I have returned to the much more reverend reception on the tongue for personal reasons, for safety, and as an example to others. Through reading, prayer and certainly an inner prompting, I am convinced that kneeling and receiving on the tongue is the most reverend posture.

It is difficult, because my community does not understand, even though they tolerate my behavior, since it is officially allowed to have that choice.

Why has it ever come to this?  It is nowhere in the conciliar documents. The disrespect, the abuse...!

Thank you for allowing me to speak out to you, dearest Holy Father.

HOLY FATHER I IMPLORE YOU TO STOP THE PRACTICE OF COMMUNION
IN THE HAND. STOP THE USE OF LAY PEOPLE DISTRIBUTING THE EUCHARIST.
THEIR HANDS ARE NOT SO CONSECRATED. IF A BELIEVER DESIRES THE BODY,
BLOOD, SOUL AND DIVINITY OF OUR LORD HE WILL WAIT UNTIL THE PRIEST GETS
TO HIM, EVEN IF IT DOES TAKE 5 TO 10 MINUTES LONGER.   I HAD PRAYED FOR
MONTHS FOR AN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION, ‘IS IT RIGHT FOR US TO HAVE LAY
PEOPLE DISTRIBUTING COMMUNION?’  THE ANSWER CAME IN A DEVASTATING
EXPERIENCE.  ONE SUNDAY, A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY WAS DISTRIBUTING THE
EUCHARIST IN OUR CHURCH, DRESSED APPROPRIATELY, BUT HIGHLY FASHIONABLE.
SHE APPEARED AS AN ACTRESS PLAYING A MAJOR ROLE.  MY HANDS WERE CLASPED
IN A PRAYERFUL MANNER, FINGERS POINTED UP TO HEAVEN, IT WAS OBVIOUS MY
HANDS WERE NOT OPEN, BUT MY MOUTH WAS. SHE DROPPED THE HOST...IT
STARTLED ME SO MUCH, MY MIND WENT BACK TO WHEN I WAS A CHILD, WHEN I HAD
EVIDENCED A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. IT HAD HAPPENED TO ANOTHER YOUNG PERSON
NEXT TO ME AND A GROUP OF STUDENTS AROUND US STOOD BACK IN STUNNED AWE
AND EVERYONE GASPED AS IF WE ALL WITNESSED THE TEARING LASH ON THE BACK
OF OUR LORD AT THE PILLAR.  AFTER MASS I STAYED TO PRAY ABOUT THE
DEVASTATING EXPERIENCE, I COULD NOT CONTAIN MYSELF, I CRIED. A VISITING
PRIEST WAS THERE AND CAME TO CONSOLE ME.  I TOLD HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED.
HE TOOK OUT HIS HANDKERCHIEF, WET IT WITH HOLY WATER, AND HE AND I WENT
TO THE SPOT WHERE THE HOST HAD FALLEN AND WIPED THE AREA WITH THE HOLY
WATER.  WHEN HE DID THAT, UNKNOWN TONGUES BURST FROM MY LIPS, AND A
STILLNESS OF CONSOLATION CAME OVER ME. PRAYING LATER ABOUT IT, IT CAME
TO ME THAT I HAD RECEIVED MY ANSWER TO THE QUESTION, 'IS IT RIGHT FOR
US, TO HAVE LAY MINISTERS TOUCHING THE HOST?'  ESPECIALLY WOMEN?  TO ME
THE ANSWER IS A PROFOUND, NO!  BUT THEN A SADNESS CAME OVER ME AND FOR A
LONG TIME, I PONDERED THE THOUGHT, HOW DEVASTATING, THE MANNER IN WHICH
THE ANSWER CAME, I DID NOT WANT THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION COME IN SUCH A
PROFOUND MESSAGE. I SPENT MANY WEEKS IN SORROW ON THIS EXPERIENCE.
LATER, WHEN I WAS IN A HOSPITAL, A LAY PERSON CAME TO MY ROOM AND ASKED
IF I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE CHRIST IN THE EUCHARIST, I WOULD HAVE, IF HE
HAD BEEN A PRIEST.  I SAID NO. BUT MY WIFE WAS WITH ME AND, I HAD KNOWN
SHE WAS NOT IN THE STATE OF GRACE, BECAUSE SHE HAD NOT ASSISTED AT MASS
FOR A NUMBER OF SUNDAYS.  AGAIN, THE MAN WAS ABOUT TO GIVE HER THE HOST
AND IT FELL TO THE FLOOR, IT WAS AN IMMEDIATE FLASHBACK TO WHAT I
EXPERIENCED WHEN THE WOMAN DISTRIBUTOR DROPPED THE HOST INTENDED FOR ME.
IN MY HEART I KNOW IT IS WRONG, FIRST, TO HAVE LAY PEOPLE DISTRIBUTING
THE HOST, SECONDLY, IT IS WRONG TO RECEIVE IT IN THE HAND!  WHILE WE ARE
ON THE SUBJECT, I HAD ANOTHER EXPERIENCE I WOULD CLASSIFY AS BORDERING
ON A BLACK MASS.  MY WIFE AND I ATTENDED A MASS CELEBRATED AT 6'o'clock,
IN A CHURCH, ON SECOND STREET IN DOWNTOWN DAYTON OHIO.  UPON ENTERING, I
NOTICED THE EUCHARIST WAS EXPOSED, I EXPLAINED TO MY WIFE THAT IT IS
PROPER TO GENUFLECT WITH BOTH KNEES.  IT HAD BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE SHE
HAD LAST ASSISTED AT MASS.  SHE WAS A CONVERT, AND HAD FALLEN AWAY WHEN
THE CHANGES CAME INTO THE CHURCH. WE KNELT IN PRAYER AND I EXPERIENCED
THEN, AN ABOMINABLE SIGHT. A YOUNG WOMAN, CLAD ONLY IN A SUN DRESS, NO
SHOULDER COVERING, NO BACK. SHE WAS ASSISTING THE PRIEST AS HE TOOK THE
HOST FROM THE ALTAR. IT WAS RIDICULOUS, SACRILEGIOUS, I WAS TAKEN ABACK
SO MUCH I IMAGINED I COULD SEE OUR LORD CLEARING OUT THE MONEY CHANGERS
IN THE TEMPLE. I DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT WE STAYED FOR MASS, MAYBE THINKING
THINGS WOULD GET BETTER.  I WAS WRONG, THE WOMAN WAS ALSO DISTRIBUTING
THE HOST.    MAY OUR ETERNAL FATHER HAVE MERCY ON THE HIERARCHY OF THE
CHURCH OF ROME AND THE WAYWARD BISHOPS IN AMERICA.   WE ALSO HAVE A
SO-CALLED CATHOLIC WEEKLY, IN THIS AREA, THAT BOARDERS ON, WHAT I THINK
IS A SCANDAL SHEET.  THESE ARE EXPERIENCES I WOULD NEVER HAVE IMAGINED
POSSIBLE IN THE CHURCH OUR LORD FOUNDED.  I PRAY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
WOULD CLEANSE OUR CHURCH.     A HUMBLE SERVANT,

AL G.

Dear Holy Father,

Please please STOP communion in the hand.  I am a new Jewish Convert and I want to see respect for my Lord.  Only a Catholic Priest should touch it.  People should be on their knees in reference when receiving our Lord.  Women should not be dressed like men in slacks. Women should have a dress or skirt under the knee.  Women should have their heads covered. During the mass to God the Father women should show respect.  What are they pagans? Isn't in the Canon Law that woman should cover their heads and not be dressed as MEN.  Please Stop Communion in the hand and please make women dress like women to come to Mass not like MEN.  And have their heads covered. Recently, I see more and more men in shorts.  What kind of respect is this for God? Please NO shorts at Mass. Thank you.  I love you!  I hope some day I can get to meet you in Rome. Thank you so much!

PS  My son who's 15 converted with me.  He had his Bar Mitzvah 2 years ago.  We are both completed Jews in Jesus Christ. My son after coming to one Mass realized that the Catholic Mass is Judaism Part II, and he wanted to be part of this great gift.  I know he would love to meet you too some day.

May God and Mary bless you. Thanks to you I have learned the importance of attending my own parish church, keeping hands together during the Holy Mass and many other things. This Marian apparition confirms the meaning of Tradition and Traditionalism; it is the only one I know that makes it so explicitly. In Poland a book was published several years ago, "Warning from beyond", one of the very few ones which deal with this subject. But this book was the messages delivered through daemons during an exorcism in Switzerland. They were exceptionally telling the truth because of the Heaven's will. I wondered however a little why such important messages are sent us only so extraordinarily, by daemons. And it is the Bayside apparition which is an explanation:  everything was also told us by Our Lady, Our Most Holy Mother, but because of a lack of acceptation it was announced again by forcing daemons to tell the truth. So now in accordance with the Holy Scripture the whole thing has two witnesses from the beyond, two independent supernatural confirmations, so it must be true. I think it is one of the most important and at the same time the most denied affairs in the Church. In Poland people know little about the Tradition and Traditionalism. Our bishops have threatened an excommunication to all who will join the Lefebvre traditionalist movement. It is a pity, it is a pity that the Bayside messages are also completely unknown and not translated into Polish. You are claimed to be false prophets, but I wish you much grace to manage. Everybody who is given the Spirit and will read more original Bayside messages cannot reject and deny them. May God bless you and lead you to be accepted world wide, also in Poland.

Dear Gary:

I am writing you for I am troubled by the new order by Manila Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin.  The
following are excerpt from his circular released to parishes, transparochial communities and religious
congregations and movements yesterday, April 27. And I, "In this moment of uncertainty about this illness, we highly recommend that communion in the hand be practiced," I am  with him re "stop kissing icons" but
not the "communion in the hands of communicants" and the holding hands during the praying of the "Our
FATHER".  I'm so so much worried of this new circular. He has done this circular in fear of Severe Acute
Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) a diseases which is dreadful. Cardinal sin also mentioned that in "some
countries like Singapore, priests no longer hear confessions to prevent close contact with parishioners
who might be infected with SARS.  Instead, they are given a general absolution by the priests."
I think Cardinal Sin is pushing Catholics to another confusion re receiving communion.  Can you help me
have this forwarded to our Pope John Paul II?  I think he is wrong with this move, GOD in HIS infinite mercy
will not allow faithful communicants to get SARS through receiving HIS body and blood during the
Communion if we put our trust completely on HIM. I am really, really worried about his circular.  This
will lead many to delusion.

Please help me.

Holy Father,
I'm 14 years old and you might think I do not know about this but I do. Its almost sad to go to a modern church nowadays. I've just moved from a traditional one to a modern "catholic" church. The priests there are terrible.  They do not genuflect or they do not even look like they CARE when they look at the tabernacle. Because of this behavior all of the parishioners have followed this stupid behavior. Please do something about this.  Because almost all the catholic churches are like this now and its sad that we are becoming PROTESTANTS.

Dear Holy Father,

Hello, My name is Matthew B. and I am thirteen years old.  I refuse to receive holy communion by a lay distributer.  Because I believe only a priest should distribute holy communion.  There are occasions in my parish church that I cannot receive holy communion the proper way due to an ailing priest that distributes only to the lay distributers, then must return to his seat.  I humbly request that communion in the hand must be BANNED.

Thank-you so much for your time,

Love,

I believe this is the worst evil nowadays because it is a direct irreverence before the holy presence of God. I had done hand communions before because it was being taught by the priests and it was being practiced as a healing method in the charismatic renewal movement. But after I’ve done this sacrilege, I realized that my faith went down instantly and I my morality began to fall as well. Only with the help of a pamphlet condemning this sacrilegious act that I returned to the traditional and prescribed mouth communion. However the effects of the few hand communions that I’ve done has greatly affected me. I have to exert great effort in returning my true faith in the Holy Sacrament. Now … I’m able not just to receive the Blessed Sacrament through the tongue but also with kneeling. And I don’t have to be ashamed because all of us does it. And Graces began to shower on me in my spiritual as well temporal life. I thank God that He saved me from this diabolical practice (hand communion) which is I can say equal, if not greater, to the Original Sin of Adam and Eve.

Communion in the hand

Jesus Christ is the most wonderful, beautiful being (the second person of God) that God our Eternal Father has allowed us to know in our puny existence.  Jesus is not a king, but KING of Heaven and EARTH.  What He has done for us meaning all generations that have been and are today, is incomprehensible to the human heart and intellect. Praise and Glory are the only two things that we should continue expressing to Him each and every day of our lives.  What a wonderful gift of love Jesus has given us by volunteering to allow Himself, the Majesty of Brilliance and Love to be hammered to wood and suffer excruciating pain for three long hours in the worst of weather; so that we whom ever we may be will one day experience a world of love and kindness beyond our imaginings. Allowing Himself to be tortured so that razor sharp whips tore through His Holy flesh.  Satan had a field day, knowing that he was given permission from the Eternal Father, Jesus Himself, and the Holy Spirit to bruise and torment Jesus as he pleased. The connection is this.  All the torment that Jesus suffered was because of all the sins that we humans afflicted on Him at that moment in time.
Jesus gave us a loan, but we are responsible for paying back that loan with out daily actions.  Holy Communion is the most precious sacrament that we can receive in this lifetime.  Jesus is REAL and He truly dwells within each and every consecrated holy bread given to us when we receive Him in the mass ceremony.  We are not worthy to allow our sinful flesh to touch His Holiness by receiving Him in our hands.  The tongue is sinful but not as sinful as the hands we use in an exterior way each day.  Holy Father, you are a very holy man, and I know that through prayer the Holy Spirit has enlightened my heart to understand that in many issues facing the Church today, that your hands are tied.  I beg of you, please make it supreme holy law that people can no longer receive Jesus in such an insulting way.  We are not worthy to show our faces before His Holiness, and yet we blaspheme His Precious Name, and Dignity without giving Jesus the proper reverence that He deserves.  Thank and may God Bless you always in these most trying times.

Sincerely,

A daughter in the name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mother Mary.

Holy Father,

Please ban reception of Holy Communion in the hand as this promotes a lessening of the belief of the Body, Blood Soul and Divinity of Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. A few years ago in my parish in Northborough MA. USA, I witnessed members of my own family receiving the Holy Eucharist in the hand and yet having the Holy Eucharist drop on the floor. One does not have the time to stop and pick up all the minute particles of Our Lord in the Host that could fall on the floor. We no  longer receive the Holy Eucharist on the tongue, we do not receive the Holy Eucharist exclusively from the priest and we do not kneel when we receive the Holy Eucharist. We must show Heaven the respect that is due Our Lord by:

1) Receiving the Holy Eucharist on the tongue and only by the priest (not lay minister).
2) Restore the alter railings so the one may receive Our Lord on their knees.
3) Restore the Tabernacle to the center area of the altar (instead of in separate room off to the side-which is commonly seen).
4) Restore the Traditional methods of the Mass and reception of Holy Communion.

Pope John Paul II, thank you for hearing our prayers.

Sincerely,

To HIS HOLINESS POPE JOHN PAUL II:

Again at my parish St. Joseph's in Bronxville, NY there has been sacrilege committed against the Blessed Sacrament. This is now the fourth time I have personally witnessed the desecration of the Blessed Host within a few short weeks.  The first one was a an elderly woman who blessed herself with the Eucharist, the second a mother who broke the Host and gave half to her child who was about 3 years old, the third incident involved a young boy under 12 who received the Host in hand and clutched his fist and never consumed Jesus, the fourth incident occurred this morning.  This girl also under 12 received the Host in her hand and then as she went back to her seat was chewing and licking the Host as if she were eating a candy. I have now complained twice and this morning brought this to the attention of the monsignor who is the pastor.  What I received was a LUKEWARM-TO-COLD DEFENSE of this desecration. The response was and I am paraphrasing: "It only happens infrequently.  Do you think it did not happen when Holy Communion was given in the mouth?"  So basically his response was one of indifference. I suggest that he address the issue from the pulpit. He basically did not like that idea. He was more concerned about offending those of us who are respectful of receiving Jesus than reprimanding those among us who trample the Sacred Host. He told me that Receiving Holy Communion in the hand was a practice that was here to stay!
Well, YOUR HOLINESS,  PLEASE PLEASE RESCIND THE PRACTICE OF RECEIVING HOLY COMMUNION IN THE HAND.  BAN IT! BAN IT  IMMEDIATELY!  BAN IT WORLD-WIDE!!! JESUS DIED ON CALVARY ONCE.  MUST HE STILL BE SPITTED UPON AND HATED BY COMMUNICANTS WHO ARE DISRESPECTFUL!  LUCIFER HAS INDEED ENTERED THE VATICAN IF YOU CANNOT RESCIND THIS DIABOLICAL PRACTICE!

Dear Papa,

In the church I go to, the Tabernacle is kept almost hidden and the Holy Cross is at the back, and I don’t feel the presence of Christ anymore in that church. Also, during the Communion, there are lay people, both men and more women, who gather before the tabernacle with their backs to the Lord and then proceed to distribute it. Why do you wait to take action? There are no polls in a church, and you should not worry about what the majority people say, obedience is important and that is the greatest virtue taught by the Church, even saints followed it. So please stop all these abuses and make it compulsory to receive the Sacrament in a holy manner and to restore the respect and position to the Holy cross and the Holy Tabernacle in the church.

Dear Holy Father,

I just want to tell you of a couple of incidents regarding Communion in the hand. Last summer I went to a christening, I saw a child who received Communion she was sitting in front of me and she was playing with the host. And many times I see people going to communion chewing gum. I would like you to ban Communion in the hand and for priests to start telling people what is right and what's not. Even in the summertime people show up in church wearing shorts. I don't like the new Mass, last month I attended my very first Tridentine Mass and I loved it very much. Everybody knelt to receive Communion and everybody was dressed respectively. Too bad we can only have it once a month. Our bishop won't allow us to have Latin Mass in a church it has to be done in a hotel room.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to Toronto we loved having you here we didn't want you to go. You could have stayed at Strawberry Island forever.

John Paul II we love you!

I think it's very important to stop Communion in the hands. I also suggest we start writing about getting the St Michael the Archangel statues back into the churches. If we can get St Michael in we can get the devil out. I also think we should return the mass back to the Latin Mass. I have encouraged all I know to stop taking Communion in the hand.

Dear Holy Father, you are well aware of the seven sorrows of Our Lady. If we were to add an eighth, it could be argued that it would be the disrespect and even sacrilege her Son's Body is seeing today. All respect begins with the proper handling and receiving of our Lord, all disrespect and sacrilege starts with the improper handling and consumption of our precious Savior. It makes it easier to remove from the church for perverse satanic acts as well. May God continue to grant you the strength to be the light so desperately needed in our time of apostasy. A split will occur amongst the clergy and the faithful, but the choice must be before us so we can support what is right. If a referendum had been given for a vote on all of the evils creeping into our society, abortion, open homosexuality, etc., it would never have had a majority vote. So not having a choice to stand up and follow, has been a tactic of great success from our enemy. How can you effectively fight when there is no decision to make, or opinion asked? Please give us that forum, even though it should be a matter of obedience. May God bless you, and Mother Mary intercede for you and the Church, amen.

Dear Rome:

Please reconsider Communion in the hand and ask for the return of the altar railing, where we can kneel to receive our Savior. I am only 32, but I can see in my few short years on earth how the reverence for our Lord has been lost.  I always thought Communion in the hand was a more personal way to receive Jesus, but now I see that it removes the reverence.  Too many laity are giving Communion now.  Many of which are in states of sin themselves.  When I was little, we could only receive Communion through a priest.  Now, we can receive it through anyone.  Also, our churches in America, particularly modern ones, no longer have statues, stations of the cross, or the peaceful atmosphere for private spiritual Communion.  Ever since Vatican II, Satan has gradually removed our Catholic treasures and created a church based on modernism and humanism.  Turn around now before it's too late, please.

Dear Holy Father,

We know that many brothers do not respect this sacrament, which is the Body of Christ.  What can be done?  You, with the help of the Holy Ghost and the intercession of the Virgin Mary, can restore Communion on one's knees, and can forbid the giving of Communion in the hand.

May God bless and protect you.

I went to Mass, 9-29-02 to St. Peter’s Catholic Church in 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29202. The Pastor and his Deacon were giving Communion on the hand quickly, like if would be a piece of candy, and there were 2 priestesses giving the blood of Jesus, I was shocked and sad.

Please, inform to the POPE, thank you and God bless you.

Dearest Holy Father, I compassionate the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and join in your own sorrow, knowing what is happening throughout the world.  Please consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and ban Communion in the hand.  Remember in the book about St. Therese, Story of a Soul, when she found a particle of host on the ground in the church, she adored our Lord until a Priest came by to pick up the Sacred Host because she would not dare touch it.  Remember also when, in our own time, Mother Teresa stated that the worst sin of our time was Communion in the hand.  I cannot bear the thought of a war because Russia has not been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, but far worse, I cannot bear the thought that we do not even defend our Lord.  I have seen some atrocities in church also.  I once advised a Priest that there was a Host in the Holy Water.  He said he would take care of it. I waited to no avail. The Sacred Host eventually dissolved.  Another time I saw a Eucharistic Minister sneak a Sacred Host in her Bible. I saw a Priest drop the Sacred Hosts because instead of using a chalice, he had them on a kitchen plate.  At a church in East Los Angeles our Lord's Tabernacle is a pot (the same kind I use to cook beans) in a niche in the side wall.  There is nothing in the church to remind us of Heaven, only a table with a Mexican blanket on it. One more point, in 1993 my son was making his First Holy Communion.  When his turn came, he knelt to receive our Lord on his tongue--he was so happy.  Because he knelt, the Priest at St. Stephens in Monterey Park refused him his first Holy Communion.  I quickly took him to another church where he received our Lord for the first time.  My son is now 19 and he has no certificate to prove he made his first Holy Communion, so he cannot make his Confirmation.  Also, my son does not kneel because he doesn't like rejection.  I, personally, was asked to leave the church because I knelt.  I have not returned to my own parish since 1993.  I wander from parish to parish.
How can we expect peace, when we do not even defend God.  Please lead us Holy Father, ban Holy Communion in the hand, and I'm sure standing will stop also.  May God richly bless you and protect you.  May His shadow overpower all your enemies, and may our Blessed Mother Mary be your guide and refuge.

Please, Please, Please do not give communion in the hand.  Let us follow the old ways of communion on the tongue.  When the Eucharist fell a long time ago, they they used to light a candle next to the Body of Christ until a priest came.  Why now have we gone to the extremes of holding this same body of Christ in our non-consecrated hands?  Please know that Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.  As you have seen, all that has been prophesied by Our Lady of the Roses is taking place.  Do people still have a reason to believe that Bayside messages are untrue?  For those who believe, please preach that by taking the Body of Christ on the hand makes Jesus and Mary shed a lot of tears of pain.  Please realize the holiness involved.  Why did Priests get training on how to handle the Body of Christ and represent Christ on earth…  Please come back to your senses and to the Truth and know that the same respect that was accorded Christ in the old days should not change at all.    Please put this into consideration and remember that Jesus is waiting for you to be on his side and not on the side of any man.

Dearest Holy Father Pope John Paul II,

After reading the messages given by Our Lady about receiving Holy Host (Jesus) in the hand, I tried to start receiving Jesus in my mouth... But I saw most of the priests were reluctant to lift Jesus up and put Him on my the tongue. I was then became a stranger in my church, when some people were staring at me thinking of me being crazily fanatic... Humbly, I do not blame anybody for this.
When I made a confession asking forgiveness from The Lord for receiving His Most precious Son in my hands, the priest told me that I don't have to be afraid because the Church allowed us to feel our Jesus in our hands.. I was and am still confused about this...
But with my humble heart O dear Holy Father, receiving Jesus in my mouth had really opened my eyes of How Precious Our God's suffering is. I miss going to Church just to receive Jesus... I used to think that going to Sunday Mass is only completing my obligation and NOT out of our love and understanding of OUR BELOVED LORD's sacrificing HIMSELF for the world. I used to think that my parents had succeeded made me going to church every Sunday, but I myself did not know what the purpose of doing that beside understanding it as a "must" because my parents told me so.
O, Holy Father, if only you would ban the receiving of Jesus in the hands, and make people receiving Jesus with kneeling down... I would believe many people will stay together in our Catholic Church. Sense of AFRAID OF GOD and to RESPECT HIM more as He deserves (which is a holy sense as the Bible said it is) would make people can more distinguish what is sin and what is not. May be we do not have many Catholic priests who can preach very well (many people left the church because the priest seemed less entertaining)... but it would not matter, the Holy Communion is the Catholic Church Center of celebration. We have our very OWN LORD guiding us to holiness.
Please Holy Father... I beg you with all my most sincere heart... As Jesus has trusted you to lead the flocks, then, we depend on you so much to ban the receiving of Jesus in hands for the coming home of many scattered flocks.
May Holy Trinity and blessed Mother Mary bless you and keep you safe, O dearest Holy Father.

Respectfully,

I am a new convert (since l996).  I live in the Saginaw, Michigan Diocese, which is one of the most liberal dioceses in the US. I really am an EWTN Christian, and since we don't have daily Mass, I watch it on EWTN daily.  I have NEVER missed weekly Mass, never missed monthly confession, and I have NEVER received communion in my hand.  However, it has been VERY difficult, as I am generally the ONLY person that receives on the tongue.  This past summer we had a substitute retired priest named Fr. Robert V.  He was very mean to me.  When I tried to receive communion on the tongue, he rammed his whole hand in my mouth and it hurt me.  The next time, he did the same thing, and said out loud so all could hear, "Next time stick out your hand."  It nearly broke my heart.  Several weeks later the same priest came again, and he grinned at me with an evil look.  I was sure that he would refuse me communion. At the last minute, however, he moved a little old lady in front of me, and SHE gave me communion on the tongue.
One of my friends had the same problem with Fr. R. of St. Cecelia's in Clare, Michigan.  She tried to receive communion on the tongue and he refused her.  Then he called her back and tried to stick the host in her hand two times.  Finally, he gave up and gave it to her on her tongue. I should LOVE to go to Mass, but being treated this way makes me very anxious about how I will be treated.

About 18 months ago I observed three young brothers receive Communion in the hand at St. Cecelia’s church at Wyong, NSW, Australia. One of the boys did not consume the Host and carried it back to his seat by a side entrance to the church. I was on the other side of the church and as Mass was about to finish, I shot across to the boys and demanded that they produce the Host. The boy who took the host emphatically declared that he had already consumed it, and his statement was supported by his brothers. I asked them where their parents were and they said that they were at the back of the church, which by now was nearly empty. To this day, I have not seen them attend this church again. My suspicions are that these children were being used by their parents to acquire consecrated Hosts for diabolical purposes.
On another occasion I saw a youth take Communion in the hand, turn to return to his seat and drop the Host, even though he realised that he had dropped it, he made no attempt to retrieve it from the floor. He just kept on walking. Fortunately others picked up the Host.
I find the disrespect that is given to God in this day and age is outrageous, and our priests don't utter even one syllable of correction.

Your Holiness:

I have been distributing /forwarding /posting to colleagues, friends, schools, colleges, seminaries, convents, Catholic nursing homes, and whenever opportunity arises like when I (a lay person) take up the Holy Hour on every First Saturday and on Maundy Thursday, Holy Hour, after the evening Mass, in our church, St. Luke’s, Madras, have always made a point to stress on the reverence to be given to the Eucharistic Lord and never fail to mention that receiving Communion in the hand is a sacrilege and to this extent I have been enriched by the messages of Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Queen of Roses, transmitted by These Last Days Ministries, Bayside, New York.  Particular reference may be made to the message of Our Blessed Mother that many hands will be sent out so that these messages will reach far and wide. I,  Merlyn, from far away India, from the Southern State of Tamil Nadu; Madras in particular; that today, the 13th dedicated to our Blessed Mother of Rosa Mystica, one of our cenacle group members, Rex Jacob, who every year undertakes to walk a pilgrimage of ten days from here to a remote place, Veilankanni, during which time they halt every day at a Church for Holy Mass and right through the walk recite the most Holy Rosary for the great feast of Our Mother of Good Health on September 7, where thousands of all walks of life gather; this is a miraculous place somewhat like Lourdes; came to me this morning just after the morning Mass and as I was reciting my Rosary  in front of Our Lady of Rosa Mystica statue and told me that in this place Veilankannai it was announced that Holy Communion will NOT BE GIVEN ON THE HAND BUT ONLY ON THE TONGUE and further every Priest present there who would go back to his own Parish should administer  Communion ONLY ON THE TONGUE . Tears of joy welled up my eyes and even now as I communicate this great news of joy. MAY THE BLESSED NAME OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS HOLY MOTHER BE LOVED THE WORLD OVER.

Your Holiness, we humbly request of you to hasten the publication of your encyclical on HOLY COMMUNION; and BAN WORLDWIDE RECEIVING COMMUNION IN THE HAND. We pray everyday for this intention, for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for your protection and good health.

Yours in Jesus Christ and Mother Mary

The funeral Mass for my son's good friend took place at St. Ignatius Loyola Church.  So, having received Communion at the first funeral I had attended, I merely watched this Spanish priest as he gave out Communion.  I noticed he gave it on the tongue or the hand, whatever the communicant wanted.  He had a family member of the deceased standing next to him, but not holding a paten, of course.  Suddenly, I see that he dropped a Host!!  And to my utter HORROR, he bent down to pick it up and, in so doing, spilled at least HALF OF THE HOSTS that were in the chalice!!!!  At least 6 of the persons in line for Communion bent down and picked them up as if they were pieces of candy which had fallen from a piñata (large paper figures of children's stories such as Garfield, Superman, etc which are filled with candy and the children hit them until the paper tears and they jump for the candies that fall on the floor.  This is done at children's birthday parties.)  They all placed the hosts back in the chalice and the priest went merrily on his way!!!  I had no idea that when I saw this sacrilege I inadvertently started to say out loud, "Jesus, forgive him, forgive us, forgive humanity.  You are truly being re-crucified in Your own Church."  I didn't realize what I was saying, or how loud I was saying it, until I opened my eyes and saw several couples looking at me as if I was purposely interrupting such a sad Mass!!  I can't begin to tell you how horrible the pain was that I felt.

Your Holiness:

I urge you, most Holy Pontiff, in union with all these petitions, to prayerfully consider our requests to ban receiving Communion in the hand as it is a sacrilege in the eyes of God.  Laity do not belong in the Sanctuary and the Sacred Host should only be touched by consecrated hands.  This makes me sad because the Eucharist was given to us by God Himself to be the center of our lives.  In normal conditions, preference should also be given to white bread because Jesus is Innocence personified.
Please return the Tridentine Mass in Latin with the altar railings, reintroducing at the beginning of the Mass the "Asperges Me", the 33 signs of the cross which is in keeping with the Life of Christ, to the recitation of "Oh Lord, I am not worthy" three times, to the end of the Mass with the prayer "Saint Michael, the Archangel", the three "Hail Mary's" and the "Hail Holy Queen".  The old Mass contains infinite graces and an endless flood of blessings where thousands of souls would be saved and celebrated as Christ has wished.  Priests no longer speak about the horrors of Hell, Purgatory, death and conversion which would make people stop in their tracks and think about starting to lead a good life, again choosing to return to Confession.  Priests were much more effective and respected when they wore the original habit of black clothing and spoke from the height of the pulpit.  (Nuns should also retain their black garments for the same reasons).  Upon entering Our Lord's House and out of respect for Our Saviour, women should retain head coverings.  The Mass and Holy Communion are the two greatest things for Catholics.  Also, please consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

You have the power given to you by God to stop this.  I pray for you every day.  May God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost continue to richly bless and protect you.

Respectfully yours,
C. M.

I WOULD LIKE FOR THE HOLY FATHER TO KNOW HOW MUCH IT MUST OFFEND OUR LORD THE IRREVERENT AND SACRILEGIOUS BEHAVIORS IN CATHOLIC AMERICA, ESP. COMMUNION IN THE HAND. IT IS SADLY OBVIOUS AMERICAN CATHOLICS DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE TRUE PRESENCE. ALSO, LITURGICAL ABUSES ARE RAMPANT. TOO MANY LAY PEOPLE DISTRIBUTE COMMUNION AND PROVIDE BLESSINGS. Dearest Holy Father Pope John Paul II:

Please ban the communion by hand completely & ask all to kneel in humility to the sacred species. We applaud the Canadian priest who refused the conduct her marriage ceremony as she is "pro-choice" which is simply another word for abortion being considered. Please, dear Papa, consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary together with all the bishops all over the world in a one day of prayer. Papa, the world is overrun by Islam & communism. Not only is Communion by the hand being practiced by the majority in the churches in the Philippines but also I have experienced being denied Communion by tongue by a Caucasian priest who never uttered the words "Body of Christ" before handing the Hosts from a big bowl and not from a chalice.
I went for Communion with my clasped hands palms facing the floor so as to indicate I am not going to receive the Host with my hands. Three times the priest tried to extend his hand to put the Host in my hand which I refused. I then tried to bend my knees to indicate I want the Host on my tongue and also because the priest has his head bowed while distributing the Hosts without saying anything.
When finally he was sure that I was not going to offer my palms, he emphatically said in a terse voice, "I don't give Communion on the tongue."
At that point, I did not have any choice but to receive the Host with my hand. But I do not go to Mass in this particular church ever again.
This is the same priest when I went for Confession held it in the room face to face when there were Confessional boxes available.
The church is the Malate Catholic Church located in del Pilar St., Malate, Manila, Philippines which is under the jurisdiction of Cardinal Jaime Sin.

Dear Holy Father, please restore the practice of receiving Holy Communion on the tongue. I believe you are a holy and devout man and I pray for you daily. Please show the Blessed Mother your love by this act of obedience and restore honor and respect to her Son, Jesus. I have seen many people receive Communion in the hand and without thinking brush their hands as they return to their seats. Poor Jesus! Also, a boy in my son's eighth grade class received Communion in this manner and carried it into the classroom and disposed of it in the garbage.

Dearest Pope John Paul II,
Looking forward to you visit on January 2003

I have never believed in receiving communion by hand coupled with the fact that a lay minister is giving it. Here in the Philippines there is a church wherein one priest refuses to give communion through the mouth. Reason it is unhygienic. Church Our Lady of Remedies Malate, Manila, Philippines.
I have stopped hearing Mass in this church because of the difference in receiving communion. The host for me  is so sacred I think that only a priest must be allowed to give it. My heart aches at this practice, the hands for me is not the vehicle for the body and blood of our Lord that is so sacred.
I continually pray for your good health

Respectfully yours,

Mel D.

I would like to thank you for bringing this issue to light. I have witnessed a case where some lady got the Eucharist in her hand put Our Lord in her mouth, pretended to swallow but did not, I watched her critically because she was sitted near me (in early morning Mass) and then eventually she pulled out a hankie, spit in it the host and took Our Lord in her pocket. She moved out with the host. And the children who have not been guided properly about handling Our Lord
they just receive our Lord in the hand as if they are eating bread or cookies. I hope and pray that the Holy Spirit guides the Holy Father so that he bans communion in the hands. Thanks

I am Native-American in Northern Michigan. The Missionary priest-martyrs up here often suffered amputation of the consecrated fingers and had to return to France and have the middle and ring fingers consecrated in order to touch the host. Their suffering is belied by Communion in the hand... I heard many cult members go in and get hosts for their evil purposes, too. Please bring back the respect...We love and respect you.

Your Holiness

I come from a deeply religious Roman Catholic family and as such have always received Holy Communion only on the tongue. Some time ago Our Blessed Mother (I take up the Rosa Mystica Cenacles in our Parish Church every Saturday); led me to this wonderful site; Her very own Site I would call it; TLDM, Bayside New York and from then on it was no going back. I have been enriched by the messages given to Veronica and I do my best to collect these messages under the name; Treasures from Heaven; and pass them on firstly to my family and my own Rosa Mystica members. I have sent many of these messages to the Archbishop of the Madras Diocese where a SYNOD 2002 is being held and I am focusing and highlighting everything I can towards received Communion only on the tongue. Our Blessed Mother is crying rears of blood at the way Her Divine Son is being desecrated in the Eucharist and to this end I have been sending messages to the Sacred Heart Seminary, Madras, so that the future priests may be guided along
the right way by these messages; I have also sent messages to different parishes, schools, convents, and lay people.
I am in the choir, which is a wing above the Church and whenever I see the people receiving Communion in the hand, my heart is tinged with pain because I know it pains and hurts Jesus Christ and His dear Mother. Some months ago I went to a nearby Church, St. Mary’s Co-Cathedral, during my lunch recess where there is a short Mass. The priest, an elderly one at that, before distributing Holy Communion announced in the local language (Tamil) that Holy Communion should be received only on the hand and that the Pope had said so. I was appalled and shocked and thought I had heard wrongly because I know the Pope does not give Holy Communion to any one, even royal visitors in the hand and there is also a notice to that effect in the Vatican. I went to receive Holy Communion and mind you, the Priest holding the Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus Christ in his hands, opens his mouth and tells me that I should receive Communion in my hand. I had my eyes closed, my hands joined and I shook my head negatively, meaning no. Again he said; So you don’t want to receive Communion in your hand? and again I shook my head no; and then he gave me the Host on my tongue. Imagine a Priest keeps Jesus waiting trying to coax me to do something wrong and I, a lay person, realize that God is waiting to come into my heart and that I should not talk. I just could not pray after that. I went back to Office,  I collected every material I could get; all Bayside messages on Holy Communion, supported by the Pope’s own reverence to receiving Holy Communion only on the tongue along with a covering letter addressed to the Parish Priest of the Church and went that evening back to the same Church where Our Lady of Perpetual Help Novena is held every Wednesday and handed over these messages. The next Wednesday I was dismayed to find the same priest but then no announcement and no forcing and many received Jesus on their tongues.

Your Holiness, I pray everyday for your protection, your good health, for the ensuing encyclical on Holy Communion, that receiving Communion in the hand will be banned worldwide, under pain of sacrilege and for the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

May the Eucharistic Lord and His Blessed Mother bless you.

On Sunday 6th of August 2002 I witnessed a mother break the blessed Sacrament in her hand and put it in her young daughters mouth, I as well as so many others have witnessed people receive Communion in the hand and it's obvious that if people lick the palm of their hand after, that particles of the host are being left behind on the hands. How upsetting to think of all the places that Jesus has been left behind , on the floor, steering wheels, clothing, your face, books, the pew in itself, other people that you shake hands with after Mass. etc. How much more reassuring it would be to know that people were receiving the blessed Sacrament in their mouth's, instead of such horrible sacrileges taking place!
This irreverence for the blessed Sacrament must end, and a good beginning to this end is an end to communion in the mouth.

Dear Holy Father, up until about 2 years ago I was not a man of good faith, many things happened to me for me to return to the Church. When I returned I was shocked at what I saw: people receiving Communion in the hand, when did this sacrilege start? I, a complete heathen for the last twenty years, I knew this was wrong, why cant others see what they are doing? I am not perfect but I know that receiving Communion in the hand is wrong, and it should be stopped!
Thank you.

I have had two instances that left me really upset and shaken. The first time was at a church here in Bermuda, about three years ago, where most people take Communion in the hand. I stood in front of the priest with my eyes closed and my hands joined, he slammed the host in my hands! I was so, so upset. It has left me always worried of other priests doing the same thing.

The other instance was at a church in Galax, Virginia. As I approached the priest, he muttered, 'I don't have long arms you know.' I was mortified that he could act in such a way in the presence of the Lord. I will never go there again (there were many other reasons also. I didn’t feel like it was a Catholic Church at all.) I am also upset about the Tabernacle not being in the centre. I have noticed that very few people genuflect anymore.

Dear Pope John Paul II,

I have always felt that you do not condone taking Communion in the hand. I have been trying to go to Church every Sunday since 1998. I personally haven't taken Communion in the hand for quit a few months, at least since 1998. I don't know why it was ever changed in the first place. I feel only a priest, working for God, can ever touch the body of our lord Jesus. I feel it should be changed back to the way it was before.
Thank-you,

Dear Holy Father:

I witnessed twice how two women received Communion in the hand in separate parishes. Both dropped the Holy Host accidentally. The first woman picked it up, cleaned it off with her hand and proceeded to consume it. In the 2nd situation either the priest or the woman dropped the Host on the floor. She stood and waited until the priest picked it up. I don't know what he did with it but he proceeded to give her a new host. He went to retrieve the new Host, and as he made his way back to the woman, he tripped at the Altar and almost had a fall. To me God was admonishing him for something. The fist incident happened in Our Lady of Perpetual Help in South Ozone park, Queens. The 2nd incident occurred at St. Peters Church in downtown Manhattan near the wtc site.

I would like to add that I also used to take communion in the hand. But, I give credit to Our Lady of the Roses for showing me, through her heavenly messages greater respect and love for Jesus in the Eucharist. Ever since I came to discover this grave mistake that I was making, I immediately stopped. My 2 kids recently did their first Communion and they too received Communion in the tongue, to the astonishment of the priests. Holy Father, I am trying to teach my kids love and respect for Jesus in the Eucharist. Please help us parents by banning Communion in the hand. There is only so much that we can do.

Your help is greatly needed.

I was at a church in Hapeville, GA a few years back. It was at a youth Mass, and the young people, wearing jeans or shorts, were in a semi-circle on the altar behind the priest, laughing, talking, and extending their middle fingers in the universal gesture of defiance to their friends seated in the pews. This was during the consecration by the priest, and he had no idea what was going on at all. There was no reverence or relevance to these teens at all, since we have stripped the Mass of all meaning with our "New Age" innovations and philosophies.

Dear Pope John Paul II:

I am in my mid 20's, and see so many my age leaving the Church completely, or going to Protestant organizations.  I think if you would ban communion in the hand, it would help the situation greatly.

The Catholic Church has something that is often neglected--the Real Presence in the Eucharist.  I don't know how many Catholics today really believe in the Real Presence, or comprehend it.  If you don't comprehend the Real Presence, then maybe to some, the Catholic Church doesn't look much different than the many Protestant churches.

Communion, especially when given by the multitudes of lay persons in the church, has lost some meaning, in my opinion.  For ages Communion in the hand was forbidden, but now, it is very common in U.S. Catholic Churches.

I ask you to prayerfully consider my request and those of others who would like communion in the hand to be banned.

Thank You.

I love you! Thank you for being a shining light in this dark time. I used to receive the Host in my hands, but after joining a prayer group and praying the Rosary for some time I suddenly found myself no longer able to do so! I have seen many incidents at many Catholic churches that made me cry inside of me. I have seen children and as well as adults dropping the Eucharistic Lord on the floor and the priest doing nothing to security the host or performing some kind of ritual over the floor where our Lord fell. Also [children] taking the Host as a piece of cookie or gum and laughing as they going back to their places. For me, Our Lord is being put to death many times with these actions. One thing I have noticed, there is no devotion or preparation to receive Our Eucharistic Lord as was before
Vatican II. This Communion in hand is the biggest evil that has entered into the Roman Catholic Church. I can see how the people have less devotion and belief in the Eucharist. This makes me so sad and mad because the Eucharist is our life and it is center part of the Roman Catholic Church.

It was at my Uncle Rudy's funeral Mass in the late 1980's. I noticed my Aunt (widow) asking her son if he would go to Communion in honor of his Father. He made some gestures and a shrug of his shoulders. Then walked up to the priest and received the Eucharist in his hands.
After Mass the family went over my late uncle’s house for a wake. I was asked to go to the store to pick-up a few groceries that were needed for the meal. My two cousins sat in the front and I was in the back seat when the one cousin said to his brother, "Do you want this", pulling the Host from his pocket. The brother driving said shockingly, "No" and the Host was slung out the window into an alley.

It would be great if the Holy Father would stop Communion in the Hand, but, I saw him give Communion in the Hand to people who were going to Him to receive Communion on His recent trip to Toronto this past Sunday. How can we convince Catholics not to take Communion in the Hand, when, the Pope does it Himself (gives Communion in the Hand). Maybe we should get a petition going for the Pope to enforce Memoriale Domine by Pope Paul 6 who said that Communion on the tongue must be retained.

Not only does the Communion in the hand offend me, but the tabernacle in our church is not in plain view.  When kneeling after Communion it is difficult to ascertain if the Eucharist is still exposed, and many people sit down while the tabernacle is open.  All tabernacles should be in plain view of all the congregation.

Abuses from Communion in the hand

I often found some teenagers received the bread by hand then he pretends the holy host enter to his mouth but actually he keeps the host in his hand.
And, another case is made by myself. My hands are always sweating therefore so easy to get dirty. So, I feel so uncomfortable to receive the holy host by hand because it makes Jesus get dirty.
But the custom in Indonesia, people only received host by hands so I followed the custom. I am sorry for this.

Every Sunday in my Catholic Church I watch in horror as each and every Deacon takes communion in the hand, and so proud fully, as does the guitar player.
I remember what Mother Theresa said about such a nefarious act.
Its been said that there are only about 30% of true believers in the Church, and it is apparent to me, most of them are on the altar, celebrating the Mass.

The holy Communion in the hand is a sacrilege in the eyes of God.  We are really living the last days.  The great apostasy predicted by the Bible is working in the Church.

Dear Holy Father,

I had noticed previously before Mass a member of the laity just walking up to the tabernacle and removing hosts.
It seemed as if there were all sorts of members of the laity in the sacristy before Mass for reasons unknown although some were Eucharistic ministers, the practice of which I also think needs to be stopped.
I have since stopped going to that parish and now go to a parish that offers the Latin Tridentine Mass where the traditional Mass and practices are offered.
Please also consecrate Russia itself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

God bless you and be with you.

Most Holy Father I beg you in the name of the Eternal Father to put an end to communion in the hand. Please only allow a Priest to give out Communion. Please return the alter railings and remove women from the altar. Please require all religious persons to remain in habit and please bring St. Michael back to the Church. I know Satan has entered Rome and is around you at all times but remember - you are under Mary’s mantle. Fear Nothing. May God the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost bless and keep you always. Amen

Dearest Holy Father,
As you issue a new encyclical on the Holy Eucharist I beg you to ban Communion in the Hand.  Please stop this abusive treatment of Our Lord!
I am greatly saddened by recent events in my Church, Xavier in New York City. Last month a priest said during Mass that the Holy Eucharist was only symbolic and we, the community, must put the meaning behind us. In fact, this priest went so far as to encourage people to keep some of the Host with them (in their pocket). O Holy Father, please listen to God’s Mother through the Bayside message. Help us, bring Jesus back to in fullness in Church.

For the sake of offering Our Lord true honor and glory, and for fear of displeasing him through any sacrilege, please Holy father in union with all these petitions hear us and restore “communion in the mouth”, and please stop lay/ministers from being permitted to distribute Holy Communion.
Mary Mother of the true God hear us and intercede for this truly important plea.

Dear Holy Father,

A few years ago, I saw a dark color tall man to play with the host like a ball, juggling with it. This was at the Cathedral Notre Dame in Ottawa.

Thank you for your attention,
Micheline

Only priests can touch the host according to Saint Brigit, this is why priests shall not be engaged in marriage.

Our Lady speaks to saint Bridget of Sweden, about communion on the tongue

REJOICE eternally, most precious body of God, in perpetual honor, continuous victory, and eternal power, with your Father and the Holy Ghost, with the Virgin Mary, your most worthy Mother, and with all the court of heaven! Praise to you, Eternal God, and infinite thanksgiving, because you were pleased to become a man, and you have willed that bread be transubstantiated into your body, through your holy words, and you have given it as meat, through an overabundance of love, for the salvation of our souls! Once it occurred to a person deeply engaged in prayer, to hear a voice saying to her: “You, to whom it has been granted to hear and to see spiritual things, listen now to what I want to reveal to you regarding this archbishop who stated that if he were the pope, he would grant license to all priests to marry, believing and thinking that this would be more pleasing to God than to see so many priests leading such dissolute lives. He further said that, if they married, they would avoid so many sins of the flesh. And even if he had not understood the will of God in all this, he was nonetheless a friend of God. Now I am about to declare to you the will of God in this matter, because I personally gave birth to God, and you will let your archbishop know this, as you address him in the following terms: “Circumcision was given to Abraham long before the law was given to Moses, and in Abraham’s time, men were governed according to their own understanding and will, and nonetheless many of them were friends of God. But after the law had been given to Moses, it was then no longer pleasing to God that men should live according to their own will. The same occurred with the precious body of my Son, because when the holy Sacrament of the altar was established, and after He had ascended to heaven, this ancient law was still observed, whereby priests would live in carnal wedlock, and nonetheless many of them were friends of God, all the more so as they simply believed that this was pleasing to God, as it had been pleasing to Him during the time of the Jews, and this observance was followed for many years by the Christian apostles. But this customary observance was a detestable abomination in the eyes of the entire court of heaven, and in my own eyes, since I had given birth to the body of my Son, to see married people touch with their hands the precious body of my Son in the holy Sacrament. For the Jews, in their old law, had only a figurative foreshadowing of this sacrament. But Christians now have Truth incarnate, namely Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man in this most holy sacrament. But after the priests of old had followed this observance for some time, God, through an outpouring of his Spirit, inspired the pope in his heart, to decree that henceforth the priests who consecrate the precious body of Jesus Christ, should no longer marry or enjoy the base delights of the flesh. And from then on, through a divine order, and a just judgment of God, it was justly decreed that priests should live in chastity and continence of the flesh, failing which they would be damned and excommunicated before God, and would deserve to be removed from the priestly position. However, those who would make true amends, with firm resolve to sin no more, would obtain God’s mercy. You must also know that if any pope were to give priests license to enter into carnal wedlock, he himself would be damned by God with a sentence, as would be applied to someone who had committed a great sin, and who by right should have his eyes plucked out, his lips cut off, with his nose and ears, his feet and hands, and whose corpse should be covered with blood and frozen with cold; and further, his dead body would be handed over to wild animals. And the same would happen to a pope who would give priests license to marry, contrary to the above divine order, as this pope would be suddenly deprived of spiritual sight, of spiritual hearing, of spiritual words and spiritual works. And all of his spiritual wisdom would spiritually fail. And moreover, his soul would descend to hell , to be eternally tormented there as a prey for the demons. Even if Saint Gregory had established this law, he would never obtain mercy from  God, if he did not first revoke it. . Please Holy Father, stop communion in the hand.  My husband and I have witnessed many incidences in our church of people walking off with the consecrated host after receiving in the hand, and the Eucharistic ministers running after them to tell them to consume it!  It saddens me to see the lack of reverence and weakening of faith in the Real Presence that receiving communion in the hand fosters.

God bless you - I pray for you every day

I pray that the message will be received by the Holy Father that the practice to allow the Sacred Host to be taken in the hand and distributed by others besides ordained priests must stop. I hope that this directive will appear in his encyclical so that all will know the true way to receive Our Lord.

I don’t think that an ordinary person should be allow to put the most holy host in their mouth,,,, I’ve seen where people went up and touched the host with dirty hands,, This is very sacred and it should be treated with more respect and dignity that what the churches are allow to go on,, thanks. This goes on at all the masses throughout the week and on weekends.. what happened to the alter boys holding a plate under your chin incased it drops accidentally so it wont get on the floor... we need to show more respect to our Lord...and ban this giving our Lord’s Body and Blood in hands.. thanks

Dear Holy Father,

I for one would like to bring to your attention the way in which I receive the Eucharist. One day I tried to receive it in the hand and they [the hands] would not come apart.
Our Lord won’t let me receive it in the hand. I am so happy to have this chance to tell you this. It is something I have always known. Too many children go without knowing where Jesus really is. It is time to bring communion of Our Lord back to the respect he deserves. No matter how much I go to confession, I feel unworthy to share in the wonderful gift as it is. Never mind TOUCH IT!! Thank you and may Our Lord bless your path.

Dear Holy Father,

Please stop having Holy Communion received in the hand and have it received on the tongue, as it was years ago. I pray that Eucharistic Ministers are also stopped...we have priests whose hands are anointed through holy orders...their hands are the only ones to touch the Holy Eucharist. If any lay person can give Communion, then what is a priest for?  Where is the sacredness and respect in that? It is one of the reasons why a priest is so special, because he has the honor to assist in the transformation and give the Body and Blood of Christ to all. This is what distinguishes him from the rest. The priest is God’s representative on earth to give His Body and Blood to the people, and his hands are anointed for this purpose...not a lay person’s.  I pray that Holy Communion will be received properly ... with respect and dignity ... on the tongue.

Dear Holy Father,

May the Lord Jesus and His Holy Mother be with you always.  Please rule against receiving Holy Communion in the hand.  I saw a man try to leave the church with a host in his hand.  I’ve seen the Blood of Jesus spilled onto the floor.

Please do not leave Rome - fight for the Church.  I pray for you.

Most Holy Father:

During Mass on Sunday, I see only maybe 4 or 5 people including myself, taking communion on the tongue. Many I see chewing the host as if chewing gum. I was taught to let the host melt in my mouth without chewing.  Is this not correct? Also return to only the priest serving communion. What difference does it make if the Mass is a few minutes longer? I will not take communion from anyone except the priest and only on the tongue. Please return to the time of communion on the tongue and served only by the priest. I also would hope that we will return to the time of only alter boys (no alter girls) and only male adults to do the readings from the bible. Return also to the communion rail (which is most reverent to our Lord).

Dear Holy Father,

I pray daily that you will follow God’s guidance.  I believe that you must restore reverence to Our Blessed Lord’s Body in the Most Holy Eucharist by stopping Communion distribution in the hand.  Abuses of Communion by the hand abound and continue to lessen our respect of Our Lord Jesus and the Eternal Father.  We are losing faith incrementally, by satanic design.  I pray that the Holy Ghost gives you courage to the end this sacrilege and restore Holy Communion to It’s proper reverence.  God bless you always, your fellow servant in Christ Jesus and Our Blessed Mother.

I would like to comment on instances in my family where my wife and children receive Holy Communion in the hand where the Holy Eucharist fell on the floor. When this happens one can never bend down and get every piece of the Holy Eucharist while walking in the line. This practice must be stopped so that a greater reverence may be made to Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist. Another complaint I have are “lay ministers” whose hands are not consecrated (many are women in our parish). The “holiness” of what we believe to be Holy Communion is lessened when we do not kneel, we do not receive from the priest and when we receive in the hand. I believe that what we DO is reflected in what we believe. Please bring back the traditional methods of Mass and reception of Holy Communion.

Thank you - God Bless

Stop Communion in the hand!!! Dear Holy Father:

I am writing to tell you of some incidents of desecration I have witnessed in our Catholic Churches. I had found Communion on the very last pew close to the door. It was crushed in pieces, and the next day a small particle on the floor in the same area. This place dose not get cleaned often so who knows how long Jesus was lying there. One time at the same Church, I saw 2 elderly couple come to receive Communion (by a deacon) and the husband took Communion but did not place Jesus in his mouth. In the same Church (this July 28th 2002)
God Bless you Holy Father and you are always in my prayers.

P.s.
Please also Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate heart of Mary. with all the Bishops, all together weather you have to excommunicate them or not. So we may have our period of peace. We are all waiting for you. Please. It all starts with you doing the consecration.

God Bless again. Lynn.  Wallingford, CT  USA

I whole-heartedly agree Communion should occur not in the hand but on the tongue.  The sanctity and sacredness of Jesus to be with and in us should occur using the most efficient and less erroneous convention.  Also receiving Jesus on the tongue will most assuredly move person(s) to more reverency.
Thank you for listening!

You asked that we come to you providing you with incidents of sacrilegious acts concerning Communion in the Hand. These are those I can remember:
It is obvious many young people have lost faith in the Real Presence. I am 17 years of age, but thank God I haven't. When I was much younger, I had friends who had the habit of taking communion out of their mouth, after receiving it in the hand, and putting it in the bin!!! I have seen children also receive in the hand, and walk off without placing the host in the mouth, and start showing it around and playing with it.
I recently received communion today, and I noticed the host was very crumbly, more so than it had ever been. I thought to myself, "Oh Lord, the priest doesn't want to use communion plates anymore, what's going to happen to the particles?"
I have a friend also who receives and walks back to his place, chewing the host as if chewing a piece of gum!!! In my school, we have an oratory where the Blessed Sacrament is reserved; I have caught young girls sticking keys in the keyhole and playing around with it. We have Mass there every Friday, in which NOBODY kneels or even bows for the Consecration, even though we have a soft carpet!
As you can see, we are in a lot of trouble! You will be blessed if you can do anything to stop this practice.

Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,

Joseph M.

At a youth convention in Fargo, North Dakota, Michael V. saw a priest take out the Hosts and clean the sacred Particles off his hands by wiping them on his vestments.

A student from a Catholic catechism class told his teacher that he did not believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist when he had received in the hand because, he said, “If I can touch the Host, how can it be God?”  The student said that he now believes in the Real Presence, and takes Communion only on the tongue.

The following testimonials, denoted by an asterisk, are from statements compiled by the editor of Arbeitgeminschaft, “Pro Mundi Vita,” CH-8028, Zurich, Switzerland:

* “In a restaurant, some young people cut a Host into pieces to see if the Blood would run, then they threw it into the toilets.” (November 1969, Witness: proprietor).

* “In a dry-cleaning establishment, we found the Consecrated Host in a boy’s trousers. The boy admitted receiving it in a round-about fashion, thanks to distribution of Communion in the hands…” (January 10/70, Witness: proprietor).

* “A woman who attended daily Mass twice a day in two different churches observed a man who also attended Mass in these two different churches and who received Communion each time. (Two Communions daily)… The woman denounced this act to the Vicar General whom she knew well. They found this man’s address and apprehended him one day as he was leaving his residence. The package that he was carrying was opened; it contained seventeen Hosts!!! Upon being questioned, he named those who had given him this work and said he was given francs for each host.” (Witness: a Dominican priest, L.P.A.N.).

* In a restaurant, some young people cut a Host into pieces to see if the Blood would run, then they threw it into the toilets.

Nov. 1969, Witness: proprietor (Protestant)

* As a priest, I was obligated to distribute Communion in the hand on this occasion, I notice that small needle-like particles became detached from the Hosts and fell on the floor; these particles clung to the soles of the shoes and were thus carried out into the street.
At the children’s Communion, one child, jostled by another, let the Host that he had just received in his hand fall to the floor. The priest who was distributing Holy Communion stumbled on it, trampling this Consecrated Host with his feet until I reached him and removed it from the soles of his shoes…
Another time that I was helping in distributing Communion, a considerable part of the Host fell on the floor. We were not successful in finding it in the cracks of the tile floor and it was most certainly gathered up with wash water when the floor was cleansed.

Witness: Abbe B.K., Councillor of the Clergy at S.

* Curate H. DE St. B. attested that a child carried the Host home and gave it to the dog.

D.E.A.H.

* At St. Anthony’s (Zurich), I questioned a woman because she returned to her seat carrying the Host in her hand. In reply to a priest who questioned her afterwards, she said, “I take it at home before lunch.” At first, she refused to return the Consecrated Host.

R.A.Z.

* “In Holland, some students were conducting a flourishing trade in consecrated Hosts, thanks to Communion given in the hand. They collected them and arranged them on the wall, like butterflies. About 200 Hosts were found, transpierced in this manner…” (Witness: President of the parish, F.E.A.G.).

Pope Paul VI: "It [Communion in the hand] carries certain dangers with it which may arise from the new manner of administering holy Communion: the danger of a loss of reverence for the August sacrament of the altar, of profanation, of adulterating the true doctrine."

Consilium, 1965: “The Holy Father [Pope Paul VI] … does not consider it opportune that the sacred Particle be distributed in the hand and later consumed in different manners by the faithful, and therefore, he vehemently exhorts [that] the Conference offer the opportune resolutions so that the traditional manner of communicating be restored throughout the world.” (October 12, 1965 letter of the “Consilium” to Bernard Cardinal Alfrink, Archbishop of Utrecht, Netherlands)

Bishop Juan Rodolfo Laise (San Luis, Argentina): “With Communion in the hand, a miracle would be required during each distribution of Communion to avoid some Particles from falling to the ground or remaining in the hand of the faithful…. Let us speak clearly: whoever receives Communion in the mouth not only follows exactly the tradition handed down but also the wish expressed by the last Popes and thus avoids placing himself in the occasion of committing a sin by negligently dropping a fragment of the Body of Christ.”

Bishop Bernard D. Stewart (Sandurst, Australia): “Children are known to have fiddled with the Sacred Host placed into their hands at Holy Communion; adults have been seen to pass the Blessed Sacrament from one to the other in a queue. Rightly does the Sacred Congregation ask whether such people who act like this really believe in the Real Presence of Christ. One must pass over in appalled silence the unspeakable abominations of demonism when the Sacred Host is sacrilegiously carried off to the satanic rituals of black masses. Sacrileges have occurred in the past and will occur in the future. But today the Holy See testifies that they are numerous and widespread; it also says that Communion in the traditional manner [on the tongue] is a better safeguard against adulteration of doctrine and profanation.”

Cardinal Carberry: “We are facing again another struggle in our Bishops’ Conference in May [1977]. It has been decided, for the third time now, that we have to talk about Communion in the hand…. So I would be grateful beyond words for any way that you could possibly help by prayer. I’m thinking, I know I can use a great deal of canonical reasons and law and the rest of it, but you don’t get very far with these. People don’t seem to want to listen to this kind of reasoning. But some kind of reasoning that would reach into the hearts of the Bishops, and to place it, I hope, on the basis of danger of irreverence to the Most Blessed Sacrament which is growing and growing and growing throughout our country. And if any of you have any reading matter on this, or any thoughts on how it could be presented; ways that it could be presented; ways that it could be presented before us, I would be so grateful to hear and receive any suggestions. And I pray most earnestly to our Most Blessed Mother that the beautiful prayer, ‘O Sacrament Most Holy, O Sacrament Divine’ might be an ejaculation of all of us who want to preserve the reverence and devotion by the traditional way of receiving Communion, which has the blessing of our Holy Father, the Pope.” (Cardinal Carberry, St. Louis, Missouri, March 12, 1977)

St. Thomas Aquinas: “… because out of reverence towards this sacrament [the Blessed Sacrament], nothing touches it but what is consecrated, hence the corporal and the chalice are consecrated, and likewise the priest's hands, for touching this sacrament. Hence it is not lawful for anyone to touch it, except from necessity, for instance if it were to fall upon the ground, or else in some other case of urgency" (SummaTheologica, III, Q. 82, Art. 13).

Mother Teresa of Calcutta: “Wherever I go in the whole world, the thing that makes me the saddest is watching people receive Communion in the hand."

Dietrich von Hildebrand: "Is it believable that instead of applying the most scrupulous care to protect the most sacred consecrated host, which is truly the Body of Christ, the God-man, from all such possible abuses, there are those who wish to expose it to this possibility? Have we forgotten the existence of the devil who wanders about seeking whom he may devour'? Is his work in the world and in the Church not all too visible today? What entitles us to assume that abuses to the consecrated host will not take place?"

Fr. John Hardon, SJ:  “Behind Communion in the hand—I wish to repeat and make as plain as I can—is a weakening, a conscious, deliberate weakening of faith in the Real Presence.”

O Sacrament Most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
all praise and all thanksgiving
be every moment Thine!

There are 4 Things You Must Have to Survive the End Times:

1.) The Douay-Rheims Holy Bible...

"I ask that all who hear My voice will take their Bibles, and if they do not have one, search, but find the right Bible, those printed not after 1965, My children." -  Jesus, October 5, 1985
"You must all obtain a copy of the Book of life and love, the Bible. Do not accept the new mods. Try to find in your bookstores the old Bibles, My children, for many are being changed to suit the carnal nature of man.  I repeat, sin has become a way of life." - Our Lady, October 6, 1992
"I must ask you all to read but a few short chapters a day now, the Book of life and love, your Bible. Knowledge must be gained for all the disciples of My Son, for you will be attacked by scientific minds. But do not be concerned what you will say to them when accosted, for the words will be given to you by the Spirit." - Our Lady, April 10, 1976
The Douay-Rheims Bible was published in 1899.  It is the official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church.  Almost all other Bibles have been rewritten by Satan.   See: https://www.tldm.org/directives/d33.htmhttps://www.tldm.org/directives/d415.htm and https://www.tldm.org/directives/d182.htm   If you don't have a Douay-Rheims Bible order it now!  (Order Form)  Yours and your loved ones salvation could depend on it.
Read the Bible cover to cover.  If you read 4 chapters a day, you will complete the whole Bible in 334 days.  I have read the Bible 2 times and working on the third time.  A 75 year old Baptism gentleman told me that he and his wife have read the Bible nine times.  Wow!

2.)  The Complete Virgin Mary’s Bayside Prophesies in 6 Paperback Books..

In the "Heaven’s Home Protection Packet" there are instructions, four crucifixes, a tube of special cement for wooden or metal crucifixes. Wooden crucifixes adhere better to the doors when the aluminum strap is removed from the back. Put a light coat of cement on the back of the crucifix and then press it to the outside of the door. Crucifix on front and back door...  The only real protection against terrorists...
Jesus - "Pray and wear your sacramentals. And, also, My children, I ask you again to place a crucifix upon your door. Both front and back doors must have a crucifix. I say this to you because there will be carnage within your areas, and this will pass you by if you keep your crucifix upon your doors." We have all of these sacramentals in a packet we call "Heaven's Personal Protection Packet." This packet is available for a donation of $7.00 plus $3.00 shipping and handling. Send $10.00 to TLD Ministries, P.O. Box 40, Lowell, MI 49331. Item # P5  (Order Form)

Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers promises to help protect our children. On September 13, 1977, She said, "He has an army of ogres wandering now throughout your country and all of the countries of the world. They are in possession of great power; so wear your sacramentals, and protect your children and your households. Learn the use every day of holy water throughout your household. Insist even with obstructions, insist that your children always wear a sacramental. One day they will understand that they will repel the demons."
On February 1, 1974, Our Lady said, "My children, know the value of these sacramentals. Guard your children well. You must awaken to the knowledge that you will not be protected without the sacramentals. Guard your children's souls. They must be surrounded with an aura of purity. Remove them if necessary from the sources of contamination, be it your schools or even false pastors."

Your names have been written in Heaven… "It is not by accident that you are called by My Mother, for your names have been written in Heaven.... But with this great grace you have great responsibility to send this Message from Heaven throughout the world, for if you are able to recover just one more for Heaven, an additional star shall be placed in your crown." - Jesus, August 5, 1975

My gift to help spread Our Lady of the Roses' messages to the world.
